  1. The likely scenario but Indiana State has been hovering around as a bubble team. The Horizon has zero shot of anyone outside of their conference champion making it.
  2. Shouldn't it be something like "in Hak we trsut?" so we know its not an imposter?
  3. I know injuries happen to almost all teams, but he was 1 of 2 guys on the roster I would single out as creating hole that is tough to fill.
  4. I disagree. Most people who were saying he wasn't going to be let go were talking about him being fired during the season. I'm 100% confident regardless of how the rest of the season turns out, Jones will not be let go for on the court performance before next season.
  5. Jones will still be here, so you can drop that part of it. UND loses a lot next year but the cupboard is by no means empty. PG - Tyler/Hooker SG/SF - Antwi/Stefan/Benton PF/C - Calcaterra/Salmonson/Shanks Haven't seen enough of Blake or Hobaugh to know what they can bring to the table. Would think that Crandall will redshirt, might need Cashman to play. Need to replace a lot of scoring but our guard play along with Stefan's shooting will be OK. Watched Tyler play a few times when he was at UMKC, he's going to fill in nicely. Expecting to see at least 1 if not 2 JuCo's though. Probably a slasher and a big.
  6. I couldn't agree more, drives me absolutely bonkers. And its not even from game to game. They play the whole game like they played the majority of the second half last night and they run MSU out of the gym. But they don't.
  7. They played some pretty good defense and showed some serious intensity for about 2/3's of the second half. I don't understand where that was the rest of the game. This team is an enigma. They have the talent to play with anyone and show it for stretches and then they just regress into something that is unrecognizable. I can live with getting beat on the boards, especially when our best line-up is 4 guards and a big, but you can't get continuously beat on the offensive boards like they did last night. Credit to MSU, they made a handful of bailout shots or drew a foul with less than 5 on the shot clock. Both of those are frustrating to see the opposing team do. Be interesting to hear what Jones has to say today. Still standing by my prediction of at least 6 wins in the last 9 games (currently 1-1).
  8. The MVC has a decent chance of getting two teams in. The Horizon will get its autobid and will be seated lower.
  9. Here is the link to the bid page. I can't quite decipher exactly what the actual project will entail in terms how it will look different from what is currently there. The last link looks like it has the submitted bids. Icon at $923K and Daktronics at $945K for the lump sum. They varied on who was lowest on the various Alternative bids.
  10. Love what Nash brings to the table but that was bad decision making on back to back plays.
  11. Wow. Hope UND has enough in the tank to keep this up.
  12. UND can't do anything right. MSU hitting all kinds of shots and grabbing boards when they do. UND looks nothing like they have the last month. MSU getting lax and UND is making a min-run to try and make it interesting....
  13. Looking forward to your son doing some special things on the football field as well. Hope you enjoy your trips up here.
  14. My understanding is as long as he doesn't appear in any game action, he doesn't burn a year of eligibility regardless of traveling/dressing/etc. And not saying that he will be a star in 5 years, but finding someone willing to properly fill that 3rd goalie role can be tough at times. Not sure what the staff's plan for him is at this point, but if Zane is close to coming back, I can't see the purpose of burning a year of eligibility for 10 minutes in a game that was out of reach. I think it is comparable to football where certain red-shirted players dress for games, but as long as they don't play, it doens't count against them. Two years ago in football, UND was one QB injury away from having to burn a red-shirt, with the player on the sidelines ready to go if necessary, but it never happened and the player retained his redshirt status.
  15. Don't necessarily disagree, but worth burning his redshirt over?
  16. Forgot about that. Was wondering why the start times were kind of odd. Makes a lot more sense now.
  17. It looks like last year the games times last year in Missoula were as follows: Quarterfinals on Wednesday: 3pm, 5:30pm and 8pm Semifinals on Friday: 11am and 1:30pm Finals on Saturday: 2pm Doesn't look like that would interefere with hockey. Guessing there is no TV issues to be concerned about so they could move the times around if needed as well.
  18. Are you getting confused because the SFI insider guys have put up 7 profiles of commits since signing day? They weren't able to get the profiles of all the players up before NLI day, especially since there were a lot of very late committments. They are still in catch-up mode from the late rush with information on the new guys. Edit: Also want to make it very clear that I'm not criticizing the SFI guys at all and hope that by saying they are in catch-up mode it doesn't come across like that. With the turnover, different area of focuses by the new staff and the amount of late committments, there was no way to stay 100% caught up. They do an amazing job and their work is very much appreciated by many here.
  19. It was reported earlier in the thread that the new staff was not recruiting Hines. No idea on who else may be on campus this weekend, but I'm guessing they will be bringing them to the hockey and basketball games. Hambone, the bat signal has been put out...
  20. I've always thought the 32nd Ave location had the best selection. Haven't ever checked out the EGF store. Seems like a timing issue sometimes, which makes sense with the buying patterns of things like that around here plus taking into account the location and time it takes to get fresh produce to a place like Grand Forks, but I've never personally felt that any place in town was head and shoulders above the rest and Hugu's usually seems to have what I need.
  21. Correct. That is some seriously incorrect data. Also, 2001-2002 was the year the new REA opened not the last year of the Old REA. Per the UND Media guide, attendance in 2001-2002 was 11,456/game. Can't find any figures for the last year of the Old REA other than box scores which list all the home games as a sell-out at 6,067. Not sure how accurate that is. Edit: The stat sheet for 2000-2001 season show that there were 19 home games with an average attendance of 5,885 for the year.
  22. Don't think there would be a whole lot of difference in the 2 or 3 seed at this point, but one of those would be ideal. Would be nice to avoid the match-up with Weber until the championship game.
  23. No need to bother, it appears he is on vacation again.
