  1. No. Available for free on WatchBigSky.com or the Watch Big Sky app for Android or IOS though. Audio is available on Cat Country 100.3 in Grand Forks and through the same on IHeartRadio. Live Stats available here UNDSports.com is also have a chat here
  2. No guesses on the over or under for me but thinking UND covers the spread. The seniors step up big in this one.
  3. Line has moved to UND -5 and the O/U is at 146.5.
  4. I think you're confused. A guarantee game is one where there is a one time game that the traveling team gets a set amount of money for playing. This is not the same as a home/home contract where one team travels to another team with the assumption they will play a return game and if it they don't, there is a buyout clause where the team that traveled for the first game is compensated an amount that is agreed to by both parties when the original contract is signed. NDSU/MSU had the second one. MSU exercised and paid the buyout clause because it was substantially better for them financially. You can argue the record thing all you want, but ignoring the monetary difference is ignorant. The benefit recordwise was a loss vs. SMU and a win against a D2 instead of a what was a likely loss against NDSU, though would have been fun to see since they would have been healthy at the time.
  5. If UND wins the conference tournament they will very likely play in one of the "First Four" games (formerly the play-in games). Winning that game does count for the team/conference as a tournament victory/credit when used to determine payouts, so there is a small advantage in that sense. You do end up matching up with the overall number 1 or 2 seed after it but being a 15 or 16 seed that isn't in a "First Four" game isn't much better (assuming you win it).
  6. They got a game at home and the contract then required them to play in Fargo or pay a buyout. They chose to pay the buyout. You of all people should understand how contracts work. Please feel to explain how they didn't fulfill the contract though. You mean that one time home/home contract that GT said was all he would accept and Faison relented sent him last year? Yep, pretty much the same thing I guess.
  7. So in your theory, NDSU gets both a home game every other year and a guarantee for the years it is played in Grand Forks? Quite the imagination you have there...
  8. How much of that projected $4 million has to do with increasing not only scholarships but adding additional sports to be at the FBS minimum? Some schools are already at that threshold and others only need to add 1. Makes a significant difference for those that would have to add 2 or 3 sports.
  9. I don't think the 11-12 rule for the is set in stone and can change year to year depending on the strength of the field but will usually be right around 11-12. The "First Four" games are made up of the 4 lowest auto qualifiers playing each other and the last 4 at large-teams picked playing each other.
  10. IPFW's coach is the real deal. He got robbed on coach of the year in the Summit.
  11. Having a choice, I'd take playing NAU in the title game over Weber hands down. UND currently favored by 3.5 points on a neutral court. Previous meetings this season were an 11 point win by UND in Grand Forks the end of January and a 6 point win by Sac St in Sacromento the end of February.
  12. Considering the source that comment is coming from....
  13. Definitely didn't need any sort of fancy formula to tell me that UND has been all over the map. 4 Big Sky teams in the top 17, all of which are in the conference tournament. I agree on the parity part but a lot of the inconsistency comes from the OOC play, beating some decent teams and then laying an absolute egg to some pretty bad ones.
  14. Not sure where to put this, so it is going here. Report from Pro Day down in Fargo: Eric Peterson‏ @FargoBigE 23m UND WR Greg Hardin ran in low 4.4s in the 40.
  15. Literally right next to each other with a nice plaza outside of right field at Target Field.
  16. Out of the 13 teams that have punched their tickets, the two lowest RPI's are Coastal Carolina (195) and Mount St. Mary's (192). UND was ranked near there until losing to SUU and now currently sit at 224. Still a handful of the smaller conferences auto-bids out there, but would take some upsets to bump UND out of a potentail "First Four" game if they were to win the Big Sky tournament. At this point, not much UND can do about it except make the best of the hand they dealt themselves this year. I doubt the players and coaching staff are concerned about what will happen if they win the Big Sky tournament other than being excited that they are going to the Big Dance. 3 wins to go and UND has just as good of chance as any of the 7 teams fighting for it.
  17. Should have checked with your sources...
  18. Full release on awards Individual Award Winners MVP - Davion Berry, Weber State Newcomer of the Year - Quinton Upshur, Northern Arizona Freshman of the Year - Jeremy Senglin, Weber State Defensive Player of the Year - Joel Bolomboy, Weber State Top Reserve - Jamal Webb, North Dakota & DaShaun Wiggins, Portland State Can't get the All-Conference teams to cut and paste, but they are listed on the release. Huff was a unanimous selction for what is his 2nd All Conference First team award. Webb and Anderson both named as Honorable Mentions.
  19. Davion Berry from Weber.
  20. He also has only 3 losing seasons in 8 seasons.
  21. Check your facts. Nash was in the game at the end.
  22. Two conference tournaments and 3 post season appearances. Can you tell me what point you are trying to make? Are you comparing Jones to Brewster? Or are you comparing the men's team to a different program in the conference? Your argument moves around so much that I'm not sure where you are going with it.
  23. I didn't say anything one way or another. Since Jones' record had been put out there and we are apparently comparing the men's and women's teams, just though Brewster's record should also be shown. And Brewster has been on staff since 2008-2009 and was in charge of recruiting while Roebuck was here. Don't try to pretend he had nothing to do with the roster make-up before he became head coach. It was no secret that he was going to be the one to replace Gene and he was given responsibilities in line with that.
  24. Travis Brewster is 21-19 in the Big Sky and 31-27 overall.
