Good point. Guess GT threw that part of the argument out the window a while ago. It did however dispel the notion that NDSU would only sign a home and home with a team that, in the FU faithfuls' minds, had "earned" it.
-
I believe Jones made a comment somewhere along the line that they need to hold a team to under 70 points and if they do that, they win. The stats back it up as well. 8-0 when the opposing team is held under 70 points, 3-4 when the opposing team scores between 70-77 points and 0-10 when the opposing team scores 78 or more.

Interesting that it shows we have some interest in a QB from Pittsburgh. Wonder who has a connection of some sort out there?

On the defensive side, UND is 16-0-2 when giving up 2 goals or less, 3-5-1 when giving up 3 goals and 0-5-0 when giving up more than 3 goals. My review of the statistics tell me that if they can give up 2 goals or less and score at least 3 the rest of the year, this thread can die...

UND is 0-8-2 when scoring 2 goals or less, 8-2-1 when scoring 3 goals and 11-0-0 when scoring more than 3 goals. Looks like we know exactly what this team needs to put on the scoreboard if they want a W.

Go back and re-read what I wrote. No where did I say what you were saying wasn't accurate or relevant, I said it was personal opinions and hindsight. Or maybe I should just say you were using the "Fire Hak" crowd talking points, but I was giving you a little more credit than that.

So.......GT signed a home and home with Weber St. Wasn't real nice to contradict some of the main talking points of the FU faithful....Home and home only acceptable with other top schools (Weber is not), must have 6 home games and an FBS away game (GT has assured NDSU can only have one or the other in 2015). Oops. Still can't see a home and home being signed as long as GT is at the helm of FU's athletic department. They'll meet in the playoffs before a contract is ever signed.

They aren't talking points, they are actual truths that are shown to be true year after year. You aren't making any points other than using hindsight and personal opinions, not facts, to try to prove your point.

Yes. Because in a one-and-done scenario, anything can happen. The best team isn't always going to win. And you can't win if you aren't in the tournament. Hak has given the team a chance to do that every year that he has been here. Having a bunch of sub-par seasons with a run at a title every 3-5 years isn't acceptable, but some think that what happened in Duluth would be OK because they can look back and see a title. Great, hindsight is 20-20 but having a team that made the NCAA tournament 4 years out of 13, even if one of them was a national title would not be acceptable at UND.

Can't, they are being used to shuttle fans back and forth from the parking ramp to the REA.

You said your self that an NDSU partial should trump a full ride at UND. Why the change of tune all of the sudden?
-
Unless of course NDSU decides to reduce a kid's scholarship offer once he's committed...

Kool-aid drinker!!

Down to only 9 more years after early March! And looking at his past results and listening to him talk at the luncheon on Friday, I have a hard time believing he won't have Miami fixed real soon.

Looks like the "realists" along with the torch and pitchfork manufacturers were the only ones who were let down last night.

I think Traylor has done the best job so far, being more than adequate but he still need to work on moving his feet more and quit picking up so many fouls. MSU did a good job showing how to beat UND when they go with Nash at the 5. I agree its UND's best line-up on the offensive side, but if the opposing team sets up a half-court offense against them and pounds it down low, UND is going to struggle.
-
Nash is good on offense against a zone inside but he can't guard the 5 spot on the other end.
-
So Blasi got a 10 year extension last year and Hak is making him look silly tonight...
-
Up 11 with 3:37 to go.
-
UND up by 5 at the half. Had a double digit lead early, Montana made a run and took the lead by a few scores until UND rallied late. Nash had a good first half.
-
Wrong thread. Only sunshine and rainbows in here.
-
Yeah but he made adjustments and beat the preseason favorite!
-
Figure the kool-aid drinkers need a place to congregate after a win like the narcissists or the self declared "realists" have in the Fire Hak thread after a loss. I'm not saying we should, I'm just asking the question...

Let me check my list and see how much that RPI thing matters...
