  1. Probably a fair question as well.
  2. I'm sure he has a highlighted play by play showing where the refs were wrong.
  3. Results on the field and court continue to show there isn't much of a difference between the two conferences. The Summit's rating this year is propped up by playing and losing to more top 100 teams than the Big Sky. A whopping 25% of RPI involves a teams winning percentage. Both conferences winning percentage against higher ranked teams show that there isn't much difference. And tutside of NDSU, the MVFC wasn't all that special. The Big Sky was top heavy as well. If only games were played on paper, it would have saved NDSU from getting embarrassed earlier this season from a team from the lowly Big Sky...
  4. Or this I guess.... Average seed for the Summit the last 5 years: 13.6 Average seed for the Big Sky the last 5 years: 13.6 Average seed the Summit the last 10 years: 14.2 Average seed the Big Sky the last 10 years: 14.2
  5. Really? I know dealing with actual facts gets in the way with your argument but the last 5 years disagree with you. 2013 - SDSU - 13 and Montana - 13 2012 - SDSU - 14 and Montana - 13 2011 - Oakland - 13 and UNC - 15 2010 - Oakland - 14 and Montana - 14 2009 - NDSU - 14 and Portland State - 13
  6. Until the Summit gets more than 1 bid, it doesn't matter. Their rating is propped up from playing (and losing to) more higher ranked teams. The conferences winning percentage against top 100 teams is almost identical. The tournament committee obviously sees no difference between the leagues as the one team that makes it from the conference are always seeded exactly the same or within 1 seed.
  7. Oops, miscounted. With the revision, UND wins 6 or 7 of their remaining 9 games. Jones still has a job next season regardless of their record in those games.
  8. 10 games left with 6 of them at home. UND went 4-0 at the Betty against the teams they have left to play on the road, with one of them being winless SUU. Going to go on a limb and say they take at least 7 of the remaining 10. Weber is a good team and showed it last night. Jones isn't going anywhere with 3 years left on his contract.
  9. Well, no doubt which way these announcers lean.... Sounds likes quite the hostile crowd as well.
  10. Exposure-wise yes. But but fan/alumni support? Not so sure. They average over 50% fans more for hockey than they do for basketball.
  11. After hearing Bubba and some of the guys on staff talk about UND football and what it means, it is not tough believe things are headed in the right direction.
  12. Great turnout tonight. Far exceeded what I expected. And some of the coaches were even having a beer or two afterwards since that matters to some...
  13. Will be interesting to hear what the coaches have to say tonight and if they offer any insight on some of the recruiting battles.
  14. The team he was on was definitely on a pass first team. They only ran the ball 314 times for 1163 yards in 11 games (avg of 29 / 106 per game) vs 520 passing attempts for 3,991 yards (47 / 363). The team also had 6 different guys that had at least 20 carries (4 RB's and 2 QB's). Simmons had the second most carries on the team behind a sophomore who had 87 attempts. Tough to get a real good grasp from that. He looks good when he did get the ball though.
  15. Because it is clearly common knowledge that is the only way that UND can get a kid over FU. They don't lose recruiting battles, just ask them. Plus he's probably just trying to stay on the good side of the new staff so they don't ban him from watching practice.
  16. I'm not 100% sure how it works but PWO's have to have certain paperwork and fees (related to admission I think?) sent in and cleared before they can be officially announced. The difference has something to do with them not receiving and accepting financial aid/scholarship. Maybe someone a little more in the know can clear it up. Hope the other guys get them in so they can be recognized today with everyone else.
  17. For those that might miss it, great post by the SFI guys with a breakdown on positions, links to players videos, etc. Also this picture is excellent (with full credit to them of course):
  18. Anyone know if the athletic department is doing an all morning chat like they have in the past with different coaches taking questions? Was very enjoyable in the past and would hope they are doing it again.
  19. Should be interesting battle in camp with him, Taubenheim and Meindel, who still has 3 years of eligibility left. I think all 3 kicked and punted in high school but Bolduc and Meindel are better punters than kickers with Taubenheim being the opposite.
  20. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. I think the past, Jones's teams have played their best basketball at the end of the season, hopefully that trend continues. Would be nice to not have to face Weber until the Big Sky finals which likely means finishing 1, 2 or 3.
  21. Excited for Kellum. His hudl video is fun to watch.
  22. The Big Sky continues with its forward looking approach in getting games to the fans. Press Release.
  23. Also turns out it was just a partial...
