You said best sioux ever... Karl played 4 years and won a national championship, and led the team back to the title game the next year, he set almost every goaltending record at UND. How you could put Ed ahead of Karl IMHO is beyond me.

Personally, I'd like to see Hale back at Defense, and Marvin sitting, with Massen moving back into the lineup... but I do like the Hale/Canady/Genoway line. I think the reason this team is having so much success is due to the simple fact that players like Canady, Genoway, and Fylling have improved drastically, and are giving the sioux alot more depth. Everyone is stepping up, and coming out to play every night, something we didn't see last year.

Ryan also lost the faceoff and didn't get back on D fast enough on Bochenski's second goal, let him walk right into the crease... I was more impressed with Irmen's play

Bina played a few shifts, threw 1 big hit but didn't impress me much, I was sort of Suprised to see Hale at forward and Marvin back on D.

They should run a contest in the Herald like they did for the Hrkac Circus

I thought Brandt played brilliant last night, but I think a big part of his performance was that the Defnese didn't give up a lot of good shots. Brandt is definately playing with authority now, and I like it. I would like to see Brandt take over the job but I think Jpar could be a diamond in the rough, he's got all the tools to become a great goaltender, and I think Blais sees that. If Blais thinks Jpar is ready for the gophers, then so do I.

Jones and Prp were huge. absolutely huge. Fylling was all over, he looks faster every game and he is getting better defensivley too. How about Genoway... HOLY, talk about a turn around from last season, he gets most improved in my book, he is playing outstanding so far... It seemed like everything clicked last night for the Sioux, finally, in one game, they got solid goaltending, good D, and great offense. This team has great chemistry, something that I think the gophers are lacking right now. Bochenski is making a statement this year, 5 points last night... daaaaamn... he's unstoppable... I don't expect us to beat the gophers this handily later in the season, as we all know they are far from out, but a win tonight would put them 1-5 in WCHA play, which pretty much blows out any flicker of hope of a WCHA reg season title, let alone a 40 win season.

Agreed. I think Porter does wonders on the boards and is one of the hardest working players on the ice every night. No matter who's on the line with him it seems to cycle extremely well in the offensive zone.

I guess Massen was a healthy scratch last night for others to play... so he will be back for MN, sounds like Lundbohm will be back too after his... thigh bruise? Ankle sprains are tough, and even if Schneider plays he probably won't be 100%... although Schneider at 75% or so is still better than most d-men in the nation...

Ballard and Harrington are out. If Schneider is back on the ice, I think the Sioux can sweep this series taking advantage of MN's young defense and shaky goaltending. Although Briggs looked alright against Denver, I wouldn't be surprised to see JJ in net at least friday night. I hope Brandt starts both nights, I think he deserves the #1 spot now that we're heading into the WCHA season. I would very dissapointed if the Sioux don't come out with at least 2 points. We've got all 4 lines clicking now, hopefully Massen and Lundbohm can be back in the lineup too. If Ballard and Harrington are still out, I predict a Sioux sweep. It's awesome to see goals coming from all 4 lines. To see Genoway and others stepping up and working their a$$ off and producing is a good sign this early in the season.
