  1. The Sioux are playing the best hockey we've seen since the 00' - '01 season. 8-2 and 6-2 over Denver... on the road?! Wow... All I can say is that I'm impressed. The sioux are on a roll. I would give credit to players like Genoway, Canady, Brandt, etc, who all had mediocre (at best) seasons last year and have worked their asses off to make the Sioux a great team this season. I'm excited to see what these players can do over the next couple years.
  2. sounds like denver is getting frustrated and/or can't seem to keep up with the speed of the sioux and are doing too much hanging

  4. just watching the trailer gives you the chills. I cant wait.
  5. Personally I'd have to say the '81-'82 team. The sioux had 12 players from that team go to the NHL. That's the highest of any team in history. All these players went pro, many who had GREAT careers. James Patrick Craig Ludwig Troy Murray Dave Tippett Dan Brennan Jon Casey Darren Jensen Rick Zombo Phil Sykes Dave Donnelly Gord Sherven Jim Archibald By far the most talented Sioux team. Not to mention some of these players won two national championships while at UND. Besides, it was during the Wisconsin Wars, possibly the greatest period in college hockey.
  6. You're right, they'd probably be higher.
  7. funny to think that that little rink at Kelly elemtary has seen NHL calibur players in their youth. Thats where it all started.... crazy...
  8. Mapletoft is a machine.
  9. Will they allow Crosby to opt into the 2004 draft? Because no doubt, he could be in the NHL right now. At age 16.
  10. Well, Eddie lost 3-2 tonight in a tough one. Maybe all the talk about him tying Glenn Hall jinxed him... well, get it next game then. Knock on wood.
  11. AH HA! It's "A win tonight will put him at 407 wins, tied for 5th all time with Glenn Hall" That's awesome, if he doesn't get it tonight, he'll have it soon. Way to go Eddie!
  12. I heard an announcer say that he was tied for 5th with Glenn Hall after a win tonight, but according to NHL.com his game isn't over yet...
  13. wait a minute... maybe I've been misinformed... I'll get back to you guys...
  14. Eddie's win tonight puts him at a tie for 5th on the all time win list for goaltenders. Congrats to Eddie!
  15. try collegehockeystats.com
  16. Too bad about Fylling, he'll be back though. I've said this before but I've always thought that Quinn was probably one of, if not, THE most underrated player in the WCHA, especially this season.
  17. This is gonna be some awesome hockey. I got my tickets, can't wait for Christmas 2005! I can see it now.... Stafford scoring the GWG in triple OT for the gold vs. Canada
  18. Personally, I think it's just plain bad luck. The chances they have been creating are good, the puck just hasn't gone into the net. Good things are happening... the points are taking more quick shots, and the forwards are in deep gettin the pucks out to the blueliners. If anything were to change on the PP I'd like to see Parise, Bochenski, Schneider, Murray, and Fuher. I don't feel the 4 forwards/1 D-man is doing the job, and I think with players like Bina, Fuher, and Jones, who all have good shots, we should be playing 2 d-men. This also might help cut-down the SHG's we've given up. If I remembe correctly, both were given up when forwards were deep in our own zone. Now, I'm not a hockey coach, and I don't pretend to be smarter than any of the hockey staff at UND, but I think that if this system isn't producing goals, either it's not being executed correctly, or it's just not working anymore. Hell, they've nothing to lose, they might as well experiment a little, eh?
  19. Someone should tell this moron to grow the f--- up
  20. Don't remind me. Ugh... after such an amazing comeback it's tough to lose that way.

    Bina

I'd also like to see Foyt play more. I thought he played well and moved the puck nicely against Yale.
  22. Dean Dachyshyn.... the Dachyshyn wall and Cary Eades, captain of the '82 sioux team that started the brawl in madison by going into the Wisconsin bench when they tried to change lines...There are some great players on that team...
  23. A beautiful assist by James Patrick in the "Best Play of the Week" (link is right under the picture, where it says "Best Play")
  24. wow... gophers lose 3 of 4 to wisconsin... things are looking quite down for the maroon and gold
