I really do not think Potter is going to go to the Gophs. It was said weeks ago on Puck Preps that he was basically a BU lock. Obviously that could have changed. It seems like UND got involved after some of these other schools so maybe there’s something to that.

I think it’ll be good to have Dillon around, particularly this season with 4 freshmen defensemen considering he was captain of a UND team that went to the Frozen Four with 4 freshmen defensemen.

No insight but I’m pretty sure it couldn’t have actually been from a school. Pretty sure Schlossman just said on a recent podcast that schools can’t promise NIL deals/money. That’d be a violation. So unless I heard that wrong or misunderstood it? I was guessing it is probably a company/brand who is connected to a school. Like an alum or something. If I had to bet I’d say BU.

Yeah I looked at their incoming class. Solid players but to me I’m not sure they move the needle enough. Have to see how they look when the season starts. I still think for CC to become a contender another team has to take a step back and I’m not sure who that would be.

I went to SCSU for a year and a half. (And I tried to leave sooner) It’s absolutely terrible. I told everyone from my hometown not to go there and none of them listened and then they all transferred to other schools too. Though this is just a non-athlete experience.

I don’t know about NCHC team but I think the Bruins drafted a Pelosi this summer.

I didn’t listen to this podcast because I listened to their preview last year and it was obvious they didn’t do much relevant research in certain areas which is an annoyance of mine.

I sensed this coming last night based on some social media activity. I found it super annoying.

I just remember them having little to no offense last year. They’re fine in other areas but I just don’t know if they will have enough offense to move up that much.

I was not super surprised about it. I heard of him a while ago and felt like he was a Twin Cities kid we could realistically get if we actually recruited him.

Yeah I wouldn’t say I expect him to commit to UND but until he commits somewhere there’s always a chance.

In other news, I saw Cullen Potter started following UND on Instagram yesterday…

He said his list is tailored to more NCHC/Big 10 recruiting areas so there will be some Eastern kids not included on his list.

I would guess they tried to recruit him but ultimately he picked UND over Minnesota and Denver. He also played at the Five Nations tournament last summer that was in Colorado Springs.

There was articles on the 2 Moorhead kids both saying they weren’t committing right away. Schlossman also said 10 top prospects he spoke to all said they weren’t committing right away. As soon as that news came out, everyone should have known. Until the top kids commit it’s going to be slow. A lot of schools are probably waiting on decisions from those guys and won’t move on to other options until decisions are made from them. I think it’s good. Kids should take their time making decisions.

Are you sure about that? I feel like we were warned a few times this could be the case.
