Simpson did play 31 USHL games last season and had 13 points in limited ice time. (Most of those points coming once he returned after the high school season last year.) So I’m not sure the sample size is that small. Just seems he has picked up where he left off to me, only now he is getting more ice time.
It was this winter Schlossman made the comment about Simpson on his podcast. Simpson is certainly planning on playing junior hockey next season. I’ve heard a couple interviews with him where he’s said that is his plan.
I saw O’Neill play against Fargo way back in September. I think he provides a style of game a lot of the team lacked last year. Probably would be better served with another year of juniors but I could understand if they wanted to bring him in.
Not necessarily. The only recruits that were ever confirmed for next year are Klee, Zellers, Laurila and Zakreski. Others are options, but decisions on them being here next season are still tbd.
