Update: Shattuck won in OT 5-4. Zellers had the game winner - his 4th goal of the game.
-
I was going to mention this also. Tri City recently moved him to their top line. I think they moved him there last weekend. I like how much he shoots the puck.
-
Meaning their game is in OT.

Funny enough, Komzak was MacDonald’s D partner in juniors. -

Did we not have only 4 D with NCAA experience at the start of this season? It just seems unnecessary to me to add a 9th D. -

You mean you don’t want to wallow in misery for the next 6 months? -
Suspected that was coming for a few days now.

Neutral Zone uses a weird formula that values quantity over quality. Looking at the “Star average” is a more accurate reflection of these classes.

I just looked it up. Looks like Carolina ended the affiliation after Covid cancelled the postseason in 2020.
-
Charlotte is Florida’s affiliate.

Isn’t Wilkie supposedly visiting campus today? That’s why I thought it wouldn’t be him, along with the fact that it was teased by YHH, so I figured it was a Minnesota kid.

I think if CC had won most of their OT games in regulation instead of OT I think that may have been enough to get them in. UMass also played a lot of OT games and they were the last team in over CC. I haven’t done a deep comparison of the two teams but all the OT games between the two jumped out. -

It’s not like he’s the first player we’ve gotten that’s on his third team. -
Yes that’s Victor. Was on the list for the NTDP tryout camp. Older brothers are Zam (Fargo Force) and Max (NTDP).

Schlossman mentioned on his podcast a while back that UND plays AT Arizona State in the “winter.” So make what you will of that comment. I am assuming January or February. -

Non conference dates are out there. NCHC releases their conference schedule at some point in April I believe. -
And almost all of those guys ended up in junior hockey AFTER Shattuck. That’s my point. They rarely go straight to the NCAA anymore
-
How long ago did those guys you mentioned play college hockey? These are different times.
-
The USHL is way more suspension-happy than the NCAA. They suspend multiple guys with multiple game suspensions on the regular.

I’m sorry but I’m going to sort of disagree with you. I’ll give you that our talent level is below Michigan and BC. BC is loaded with 1st rounders - no one in the country matches their talent level. But we are on par with BU and Denver, based on season results against them. BU fans even mentioned that UND had way more forward depth than their team when we played them. And the other teams that made regional finals? Michigan State, Qpac, Minnesota, Cornell? Yeah I think our talent level is on par with all those teams (or better). The issue to me is on the back end. We are still in the middle of rebuilding back there. Pyke, Britt and Pehrson were brought in to keep things stable until our more talented recruits get here. I think the defensive talent just needs some time.

He didn’t play his freshman year so that was technically a redshirt year. So he’s eligible for another year. -
They weren’t portal.
-
Same. I remember when they followed James Hagens and their fans all thought that meant he was committing there and he ended up choosing BC.
-
I honestly only noticed Blake as the sudden follow lol.

Guessing he already knew Strinden since they are both drafted by the Predators. Probably have attended a couple development camps together.
