Correct. Denver had lost the night before and that’s who we were chasing. So the win I think put us 1 point up. Denver only had one game the following weekend against CC and we had 2 against Wisconsin. So all we had to do was win one game.

I’ve been thinking this for weeks. I thought they should have scratched him when they listed him as the extra skater in warmups against Western a few weeks ago. Hope he’s getting healthier- would be great to see him back to his normal self.

I read somewhere a few weeks back that they got decimated by injuries in the first half. A couple of them were pretty long term injuries. Not sure if it’s played a role in their results, or lack thereof, or if they were truly just overhyped.

I was thinking when the CHL season is over, but same idea.

I think O’Neill may be more likely than Schultz just based on his style of play. We lose a lot of players that we use to play against other teams top players and provide some grittiness in the lineup (Jamernik, Schmaltz, Berg, etc) and he’s a bigger guy who could fit into the bottom 6. But I also think he’d be better served playing another year in the USHL.

Not a single member of our coaching staff is very active on social media at all. Don’t even remember the last time I saw a post from one of them.

Don’t disagree. We had some spurts of extended zone time, but I thought whenever we got the puck to the danger areas we tried a dumb pass when we should have just got a puck to the net and create some chaos.

The part about UND having the puck in the offensive zone more than ASU I believe. We just did hardly anything with that.

We have never won on a Saturday following a loss on Friday this season.

I thought it opens after regionals are over but I’m not 100 percent on that. I am pretty sure it’s a set date for everyone and not dependent on when your team is done.

16 year olds don’t always get a lot of ice time in these leagues. I don’t know if that’s the case here, but I heard it in relation to another younger player in the WHL.

I looked it up - Rand Pecknold was the WJC coach when Jackson Blake played. I didn’t think anything last year about Carle not taking Livanavage but Emery is a guy a lot of people had as a lock. Makes me question things a bit more.

I’m not sure why this clickbait article is going around but it’s completely fake news. BC isn’t doing this. This rumor has been disputed. Last week this kid was supposedly going to BU and that was also disputed as being incorrect. They haven’t even talked with the kid. Basically I think some idiot who doesn’t know the difference between BU and BC made things up and wrote an article.

He also scored against Bemidji a couple weeks ago.

Assuming Laurila accelerated his education and has graduated high school he’d be the only current recruit we could bring in. (We only have him and Lindberg committed for defensemen) I find it unlikely for a lot of the reasons you suggest.

I’m also not expecting Zmolek back this season. I’ve been hearing that for weeks from other fans so that seems to be what a lot of people think also. If he comes back I will consider it a nice surprise.

He’s been skating and he made the trip to Oxford so I take that to mean he’s close. Jamernik is also skating so he could be a possibility too. So we will see on those two.
