shoot me now. i'd rather ANYONE else from the west goes to the cup finals than the red wings. get some new blood in there.
-
gosh i hope not -- the wings winning last year was bad enough.

THERE'S THIS THING CALLED PROGRESSION. Sometimes, an athlete makes improvements in his play. Some of us, take notice of these things and that's where the love for LaPoint may come from. And I'm getting a little tired of people telling me I can't change my mind.
-
I saw Morin play last night against Finland at the U18s... he had some good moves, with some speed... and a really LAME interference call that went against him (seriously, they just bumped into each other) anyways, he can play, but I personally would not want him at UND-- for many of the reasons others have listed here. Call me an idiot, stupid, whatever for thinking that, don't particularly care. Besides, do high draft picks always get the job done? No. Look at the Gophers. He'll play in the NHL, no doubt and that's fine and I'll probably like watching him play there. But I will pass on him for UND. Besides, I'm pretty sure if he goes the college route, he will go to BU based on some of the articles out there.

Good luck Dunc! Good luck with your new team and I hope you show everyone whoever doubted you that they were wrong! You are what every hockey player should strive to be, and I'm glad I had the pleasure to know you. Hopefully I will run into you again soon!

If Vandy comes back, I think they keep the malone-vandy-frattin line in tact. Just my thoughts.
-
Speaking of another player that made great strides this year, Pony really started to come on towards the end, and I think he's ready to break out next year. I am looking forward to it.
-
yeah, thats the one.
-
It was reported on hockeybuzz.com from one of the Blues bloggers that Duncan hasn't heard from the Blues. I read somewhere else he's heard from a few other teams though. whatever thats worth.
-
I do agree with what you said, and I probably sounded like I was knocking Frattin, but I'm not. I probably should have said scoring consistency instead. I was very impressed with his progress and his physical play down the stretch. He's done lots of things pretty well when the scoring wasn't there. I hope he continues to progress next year because we'll need him to.
-
I think Frattin, like a lot of guys on the team, has a consistency issue. But this year, I don't think he disappeared after Nov 30th, considering I don't think he actually showed up until November this year. He disappearred in February this year. So I think consistency is one thing we need from a few guys we need it from -- whether Vandy comes back or not.

Sure. If he graduated high school last year he should have come. But he graduates this spring. -
You should see the Facebook group.

Funny how some forget little details like this. -
I'm moving to D.C. in the fall most likely so hopefully I will get to see him play with the Caps at some point in the near future. Good luck JOE!!

Actually, the University Senate has more than one representative for students. I believe there are 10 student representatives, all of whom I believe are also members of the Student Senate. I actually served on U-Senate as a student a few years ago and let me tell you people would abstain from votes all the time. I think one vote on a particular resolution had a large majority of abstentions. It's pathetic. What, you don't have an opinion?! PLEASE! give me a break. Everyone has an opinion and if you don't want to use it you have no place on a governing body. (ok, i can understand obstaining b/c of a conflict of interest or something, but other than that OR something like that, PLACE A VOTE!) *end rant*

Chay would have stayed no matter what. He said he's known for a while that he was going to be here 4 years.
-
We get it. You want Chay as a forward. Not gonna happen.

That's an old article, so I don't hold much stake in it. The Oilers are also having difficulties getting Nash to leave Cornell, as they aren't happy with his development there and want them in their system. I don't think it's a given either way that Vandy decides, and I wouldn't be surprised either way. I'm just going to assume he'll leave so if he decides to stay it will just be a big PERK!
-
Herald said we're at CC during ND State hockey so shouldn't that be the Feb 26-27th weekend? Maybe? Also said Oct 30-31st was a bye week for sure. Had a lot of good details in the article.
-
Um... are these kind of comments really necessary? It's getting old.
-
I've heard otherwise. I heard Rueggsegger will be a 4 year player, not because he's not ready to leave, but because he values his education. Just something I heard.
-
Well, we won't find that out unless both BU and Cornell make it to the championship game as I believe they are on opposite sides of the bracket. So, that's just wishful thinking at this point. I realize you are a Cornell fan so OBVIOUSLY you believe they have the best chance against BU, at which point we're going to have a difference in opinion. So I feel we should put this to rest until we see a game played between BU and Cornell.
-
I'd rather BU won than Cornell. At least then I wouldn't fall asleep watching the Frozen Four from an agonizing defensive struggle. And who said Cornell will even get the chance to play any Hockey East teams? They have a game tonight too. GO BEAVERS!
