Actually, the University Senate has more than one representative for students. I believe there are 10 student representatives, all of whom I believe are also members of the Student Senate. I actually served on U-Senate as a student a few years ago and let me tell you people would abstain from votes all the time. I think one vote on a particular resolution had a large majority of abstentions. It's pathetic. What, you don't have an opinion?! PLEASE! give me a break. Everyone has an opinion and if you don't want to use it you have no place on a governing body. (ok, i can understand obstaining b/c of a conflict of interest or something, but other than that OR something like that, PLACE A VOTE!) *end rant*

Chay would have stayed no matter what. He said he's known for a while that he was going to be here 4 years.
-
We get it. You want Chay as a forward. Not gonna happen.

That's an old article, so I don't hold much stake in it. The Oilers are also having difficulties getting Nash to leave Cornell, as they aren't happy with his development there and want them in their system. I don't think it's a given either way that Vandy decides, and I wouldn't be surprised either way. I'm just going to assume he'll leave so if he decides to stay it will just be a big PERK!

Herald said we're at CC during ND State hockey so shouldn't that be the Feb 26-27th weekend? Maybe? Also said Oct 30-31st was a bye week for sure. Had a lot of good details in the article.
-
Um... are these kind of comments really necessary? It's getting old.
-
I've heard otherwise. I heard Rueggsegger will be a 4 year player, not because he's not ready to leave, but because he values his education. Just something I heard.

Well, we won't find that out unless both BU and Cornell make it to the championship game as I believe they are on opposite sides of the bracket. So, that's just wishful thinking at this point. I realize you are a Cornell fan so OBVIOUSLY you believe they have the best chance against BU, at which point we're going to have a difference in opinion. So I feel we should put this to rest until we see a game played between BU and Cornell.
-
I'd rather BU won than Cornell. At least then I wouldn't fall asleep watching the Frozen Four from an agonizing defensive struggle. And who said Cornell will even get the chance to play any Hockey East teams? They have a game tonight too. GO BEAVERS!

You're in the wrong place if you can't handle some snide remarks. I think it's pretty ballsy of you to write off a season that hasn't even started. People can pick a team 4th in the WCHA, sure... but we all know predictions are just that...predictions. We don't know what will happen in the off season and what kind of progression will be made from this season to the next. I suggest everyone wait until a game is played in the 09-10 season before writing anybody off. I don't stop watching/paying attention/supporting Sioux hockey because I don't think they are capable of winning a national championship. I watch because I love the game.

Some injuries are worse than others though. It's not an excuse, it just makes it a lot more difficult to win some games when you're in that kind of pain and you can't go 100 percent. I'd like to see you play with a broken foot, thanks. I'm not sure if I could do it myself. Anyone who says those boys didn't give it all they had should go get their heads examined. These things happen. You should change your name to Unhappy Gilmore -- it fits better.
-
oh they will...because we have no...defense? But whatev....whatever floats their boat.
-
I can see your theory with wisco up there, but not on minny. I think they'll be below us if they can't figure out their issues they had this year, as well as find some offense outside of schroeder (if he comes back).
-
Unfortunately... I agree with this statement. I'm planning to do everything in my power to jinx them however.
-
It's over. Done with. It's a waste of time to start putting blame anywhere b/c it doesn't change the heartbreaking loss. The boys that come back have some things to work on. With the way the tourney has gone, are we really surprised? Time to move on. What is it? 6 months til next season??

Why should I want UMD to win? To answer your question: I sat in front of the rudest, most obnoxious fans from duluth at the final five and due to that experience can no longer cheer for UMD EVER. It's a shame they had to tarnish my opinion of that team, but when I think of UMD ..., i just remember those jerks. That and I think they are way overhyped and the love affair with UMD is annoying and getting on my nerves.
-
I'll be cheering for Miami.
-
194th!! but if vermont wins....perhaps i can move up!
-
I had Vermont winning their game today, but picked wrong in the mich/af game and the miami/du game. I don't remember if I picked princeton or UMD... but i don't really care as all i want is this damn love affair across the country with UMD to come crashing down. it's getting on my nerves. But don't get me started on that.
-
damn it me too!!
-
Apparently michigan has a worse power play percentage than we do!
-
Man with the depressing flood around here... thanks for the laugh! Seriously I'm laughing so hard I'm about to cry!

Apparently Vandy had a separated shoulder last weekend? Hopefully the situation has improved. ON THE BENCH: One of the Oilers' top college prospects, U of North Dakota centre Chris Vande Velde, played last week at the WCHA finals in St. Paul, Minn. with a separated shoulder. He didn't show much to GM Steve Tambellini, but he couldn't do what he does best -- play aggressively. He will play this weekend in the NCAA's Sweet 16, however, as will 2007 first-round draft Riley Nash (Cornell).

AS is the real key here. Kidding aside, I'm interested to see who on the gophers does or doesn't come back.

oh funny. I have it the opposite. Notre Dame beating us. Baby steps... win a frozen four semifinal game. I'm usually terrible at brackets, so we'll see how I do. Last year I was screwed after the first day with all the upsets.
