Personally, I find it somewhat ridiculous that in justifying UND's #7 they comment on losing oshie/chorney/duncan/finley, etc.... the impact there, basically assuming they're probably gone. Yet, they seem to, in my opinion, when justifying BC's #1 assume Gerbe will be back, when he could very well leave early as well. Because honestly, if Gerbe's gone, there's no way BC is a #1 team. But a #7 is fine... it'll allow us to sneak in under the radar...lol.

clearly... we're all procrastinating on papers. Only, my first one isn't due til friday and my second one on monday. I'd rather waste my time on here:) there's very valuable information.

Finley coming back would be huge. He might not be everyone's favorite guy, but his experience in the defensive corps would be extremely beneficial. I have heard he's one of the more likely guys to return, as well as duncan. i heard a lot of things in denver about guys coming back/not coming back. we'll see what pans out in the coming weeks I suppose.

Quality Inn was TERRIBLE. probably the second worst part of my trip to denver. I loved this one: checking out after I had given him my credit card he gave me a sheet of paper that said what I owed. (a bill) only there was no signature line or anything so I assumed he was printing off a copy for me to sign. So I proceed to stand there a good few minutes when finally he's like, "will you sign that?" i just looked at him with this are you effin' kidding me? look. seriously... that was ridiculous if you want something signed that doesn't have a line that says signature... you should at least tell them to sign the bottom of the sheet. (sorry had to vent)... additionally, we had no towels, and no remote for a tv that turned on with the maximum volume blaring. Also, the maid service came to our room at 11:30 at night... and wouldn't make the beds if we left "personal belongings" on it... meaning if you left a pillow of your own on the bed it would stay unmade. that hotel was terrible. i'm glad I didn't spend much time there.

Considering the sioux game on thursday, I can honestly say the overwhelming support by sioux fans for the irish was probably the best part of the frozen four. I sat in 200 level seats directly above the sioux crew seats and everyone in my section loved our fans and how many of us stuck around even though the sioux lost out. I can honestly say I would cheer for the Irish again, as long as they're not playing us. lol. I gained a lot of respect for their team and their program, and I may have started cheering for them b/c i despise BC, but it was a fun game to witness, and be at, and I went home glad I went to my first frozen four, despite the outcome. p.s-- i definitely would love to see notre dame at the ralph.

I was sitting right above where the majority of the students were sitting, and everyone in my section just got a kick out of our fans and their support of the Irish. It was great! And that makes me proud to be a sioux fan...

i agree. whatever really happpened, we really don't know, and i don't think it's really any of our business and it should be in a "rumor" thread if there was one.

did i say it was mature? no. it's the truth. clearly, they will have to accept the consequences, and if i was in there shoes, i would have done the same thing. i never said it was a good idea, we're college students and we do some not so smart things. get over it.

honestly, i won't ridicule the guys because if I just lost a game like that, i'd have done the exact same thing. I doubt it was a celebratory party... it was a we sucked it up, let's drink to forget it thing. things happen, and they'll have to accept the consequences.

i don't care that oshie has zero chance in winning the hobey, i'd still take him on my team over porter anyday. no offense to porter. and i don't care if they've already "given" the award to porter, lammy has been nothing short of spectacular this year and that's all i ask for. and i know i'd rather see us annihilating BC and whoever else on the way to the national championship over an individual award anyday, and i think that would be the consensus. I have no idea how i'm going to get any sleep in the next week...haha.

Suite 49 is normally closed sunday and mondays and i'm not sure if they would open just for the game. Rumors, could potentially have the game. I have no clue on Canad. I'm struggling to figure out where to go tomorrow night that won't be jam packed. BWW's is going to be packed, i'm for certain. I was thinking bostons might have it, because i think they had CSTV earlier when the sioux played out east at BC. I'm going to call around probably.

CLEARLY. haha. maybe next week if we win??!!! i'm hopeful, but that might be wishful thinking on my part.

has anyone figured out places in GF that will have the game on tomorrow? I've heard b-dubs, overtime, and ground round... and i'm thinking bostons might have it. i'm thinking it might be crowded everywhere... and i don't want to miss this game!

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I'm home for easter break in gopher country, and i got home this morning to see a GO FIGHTING SIOUX sign taped to the front window of my parents house. It was sweet, considering my dad, the gopher fan, made it! haha. Anyways, great game. i hope we continue to play like this into regionals.

I was hoping for the Broadmoor for my birthday too! Mine's Sunday. Now I'm just so heartbroken. However, I think we'll come back stronger tomorrow, and I'm confident we will get the job done!

ok, personally, i think the und students vs. season ticket people rivalry or whatever it is, should stop now. we're all sioux fans, and we all love hockey, i feel like we should just leave it at that, and focus on supporting the team. maybe you like to stand up and cheer your heart out like i do, or maybe you like to sit in your seat and quietly enjoy a good hockey game. either way you look at it, we're all out there for the same reason, and you'll be hard-pressed to find another place with this much passion for a hockey team, in my opinion of course.

I saw trupper in gamble last week with what looked like some sort of walking cast/brace whatever the proper medical term is on his leg. hopefully he's getting better -- definitely missed on the ice. but i agree with the statement he won't be back unless we make the frozen four, and i'm crossing my fingers and then some about that -- as I will be in denver if we are there!

I find it absolutely absurd when someone tries to tell me they want to deny me a right that is sort of given to me by the Constitution of the United States of America. If you say students shouldn't be allowed to vote, you are classifying us all into one group. Not everyone goes home for the summer. Grand Forks is the place I call home and I live here a good 350 our of 365 days a year, and I think that is true of a lot of students. I have a MN license because, as i learned today, it is a BITCH to switch over. I voted in the last mid-term election, and I voted in the presidential primaries, and you can bet I'll be voting in the local elections also.

MY PICKS: SCSU 3, MN 0 --gophers will be hard-pressed to win this game in my opinion UND 4, DU 1 -- too many weapons for DU to handle! CC 3, SCSU 1 -- not much to say on this. UND 3, CC 1 -- it's the playoffs....we will step up. People can say we're not playing well enough all they want, but I think everyone's playing their hearts out right now, so we're going to have the nailbiter games from here on out.
