  1. I have it on pretty good authority that Gregoire did travel to Madison, so that's good news! Hopefully he's good to go...
  2. First of all, Schroeder is not even nominated for the award. And second of all, the "best line in the WCHA" is debatable. He'll probably get ROY, though I think Eids should...but whatever. I'm not sure who will get MVP. I saw somewhere the players nominated by their teams for the award and I have no clue who will get it.
  3. Don't have to try to convince me on that... He's got my rookie of the year vote.
  4. Agree completely. The MVP is not about who the best player in the league is, or who has the best stats. It's about who has been the most valuable to their team. I think this tends to get lost throughout the year when people get caught up with the statistics. You look at some of the front runners and their teams have kind of faltered down the stretch. His leadership is second to NONE. What he's done with this team is nothing short of amazing, considering where we were at end of november/early december. And for those who look at numbers, there was a stat that showed our record on INCH a while back that gave our record when Duncan scores a point. I don't remember what it was, but it made a statement. This team will go as far as Duncan can take us. So, he'd get my vote for MVP also.
  5. So...random story. At the game on Sunday, I was in the upper bowl of the student section and there was a couple people behind me that had never been to a sioux game before. Anyways, one of them asked what former und players played in the all star game. and the other kid answered, "zach parise and some guy that plays for Chicago." I turned around and I was like,"did you just say that?" kids these days...lol
  6. If I remember correctly, Madison is one of the road trips they fly to.
  7. Disagree. Kozek did well up there, but to maintain the balance in the lines, keep him with Malone on the 4th line, as it provides a bigger scoring threat for that line. There is no need to mess with the lines right now. The gregoire-duncan-hextall line has been very good and I wouldn't mess it up.
  8. As a student, the best view I have ever had of the game was yesterday. Front row of the upper bowl, center ice. As a 3 year season ticket holder, this is the first time I've gotten front row of the upper bowl because of all the d-bags that cheat for the seats, (but I won't get into that), and the view was amazing. I do like being by the action on the glass though as well...
  9. Miller was playing hurt. He was a game time decision, as Fienhage was in warmups in case he coudn't go. I guess Miller felt he was good enough to play. Hopefully he can heal whatever is hurting him so he's ready for those Badgers!
  10. haha! well, clearly. I was just surprised after listening to the scsu announcer going on about how terrible they were playing, so it was a very welcoming surprise!
  11. SHOCK does not cover my reaction right now!
  12. I agree. I think if we can shut down Rau's line we can take them out. I don't see much secondary scoring. If we would have done a better job defending that line, we may have had a better outcome to the game. Hopefully the boys will come out flying tomorrow!
  13. GO JONNY GO!
  14. I see your point, but I also see the point of keeping Koz where he's at from a scoring perspective as well as an experience factor. But we all have our opinions on the matter and I wouldn't care either way what they do as long as we win!
  15. What are you surprised about? Malone with Fratts and Vandy? I'm not surprised as I think the goal is to keep the balance on all 4 lines and keeping Kozek where he is allows that to happen. It might be a line chemistry issue as well, though I wouldn't have been surprised to see Kozek up there either. As for Toews, he was injured and didnt go to UAA, and apparently his first day of practice full-out was Wednesday, so who knows if he'll be in the lineup this weekend. They say he looked good in practice, so I'd guess we'll see him this weekend in at least one of the games.
  16. Well, I got my student playoff tickets this morning, and I got lower bowl. But I talked to a couple other people who didn't log on right at 10 that thought it wouldnt be a big deal because of spring break and they got stuck in the upper bowl, so at least lowerbowl will be full.
  17. I was referring to INCH in general, not the specifics of their 4 X 4 prediction.
  18. I hope we DOMINATE the next 3 weekends to make a point to the incompetent fools at INCH. That they don't know what they're talking about.
  19. Which top line?
  20. There's no good tickets there. All i keep getting is high in the upper bowl behind the one goal. I am trying my luck elsewhere and if I strike out everywhere else, I'm going to get those crappy tickets they have left.
  21. Darcy had 10 pts as a freshie and 8 last year. He's got 13 this year, which I believe is more than both those years. There are plenty of guys to put the puck in the net, and as long as we win, I don't see a huge deal if he scores 2 goals or 30.
  22. Everyone except Davidson and Harrington for sure, as I saw both on campus in the last few hours. And LaPoint (but that should be assumed). Word is Hexy made the trip.
  23. To be followed by another hatty on Saturday
  24. Just so everyone is aware, since the team is leaving for Anchorage tomorrow, the press conference was held today and there's some info on Brad's blog. In short, Jones should be ready to go this weekend, but they aren't sure on Hextall quite yet.
  25. i thought i saw toews on hextall's PP spot... but i don't remember
