I'll attribute some of bad PK's on the absence of LaPoint. It really limits options because one time I remember I think Finley got a penalty so they had Blood on the PK. Other people need to step up and get the job done in the absence of missing players. So basically, no more penalty killers can get injured. I thought the penalty kill wasn't that bad against Wisco, but the powerplay was terrible. This weekend I thought the PK wasn't so good and the powerplay was not great, but better than it was against Wisco.

They just previewed the Final Five on FSN during the Wild/Blues intermission. I got a good laugh when they called Kangas one of the best goalies in the country.

I don't care if the opponents outplay us, outshoot us, etc. As long as we win that's all that matters. What you said is key, good teams find a way to win -- which is what we have done time and time again this season. I don't care if we play the worst game of our lives as long as we win. And I definitely can't see Minnesota doing all that much at the Final Five based on how they've played lately. If they had to play any other team besides st cloud in the first round, I don't think they'd even be there. And Minny can say Kangas is back all they want. I'll believe it when I see it....NEXT YEAR. 3 games doesn't justify anything to me. We will see what happens this weekend.

Ryan Duncan IS Sioux Hockey. Anyone else who's ever had a conversation with him knows what I'm talking about. He's everything to the team, and I can't think of anyone more deserving of the success we've had this year, and it would only be fitting to see him go out on top, and I hope we keep rolling so he can.

Um...not trying to be a b*tch, but Minnesota arrogance has no place in the WCHA. Anyone can win on any given night, which is the point. It's the playoffs, anything can happen. The hardest thing to do is end a team's season, and SCSU is desperate and they will give everything they have to keep playing. We'll see how it goes.

I agree. It didn't look like some of the other CFB calls that I've seen, but I definitely thought it was a good call and a penalty. If they wouldn't have called it I would have been pissed.

Disagree. Was not that impressed with DU and frankly don't understand the love affair with them. Throw Bozak in there and I'll still have the same opinion. I was 100 times more impressed with CC when I saw them than I was with DU. I said last week DU wasn't going to beat CC and no one believed me. Well, look at that, I was right. So I negate any argument that says there's only 2 teams in the WCHA worth anything. Just my opinion.

I kind of agree with this. Also a blackhawks fan. He's a good player, true, but he's been way over-hyped in my opinion. Though, my thoughts on this are probably clouded by the fact that Toews got hosed for rookie of the year. oh, wasn't that impressed with schroeder either. if he gets rookie of the year i'm going to pull a denver and walk on the ice at the X at the final five. haha... i am kidding... since he probably will get rookie of the year and i probably won't walk on the ice.

You know, I'm not scared of BU. In fact, I want to play them again. Granted I prefer it be in the national championship game, but I would love to see the progress we've made since that first game. I think we are fully capable of going all the way if we play like I know we can. BU is a talented team, no doubt, but they are beatable. Same goes with other top teams like Notre Dame and Michigan. If we keep working hard I think we can make a statement, if nothing better than to prove everyone wrong.

I find it laughable that you assume they are a better team than almost everyone in the WCHA when i'm pretty sure Minny is the only WCHA team that has played them (I haven't double-checked stats or anything but I haven't heard of another WCHA team to play them), so there's really no way to determine that. On paper, maybe, but we all know paper means nothing when you take to the ice. That's all, thanks.
