  1. And any Gopher brainwash he might have
  2. I would guess the kid needs time to make that decision ... it's only been a couple days.
  3. i think if you have a sports package, you should get the channel. I know in the Cities, the Comcast Sports package carries it. Also, I know my parents have it and they have Dish Network and I don't think they even have a sports package out there in rural Minnesota. That is what I know.
  4. Yeah those gopher girls get really pissy when they lose. My take on that is that the girls' emotions of finally beating the gophers had a hand in that because on their way to the celebration pile, got in the way of a few gopher girls and they didn't like that... I actually thought the Gopher girls were kinda dirty players throughout the game... I went to the game with a couple buddies, all UND alums living in Mpls and one of them had never been to a women's hockey game before. Leaving the arena, she's like "I can't believe they got in a fight. That is awesome." Now if only Gopher fans would quit whining about an icing....
  5. You call them and tell them you want a sports package. they will give you options as they have more than one sports package. the 8 dollar package will give you sioux hockey games, nhl network, etc...
  6. Went to this game tonight as I live 2 miles from the arena. Had a great time. If anyone else was there... we were the 3 loud & lively individuals along the glass next to our bench. Interesting to see that scrum at the end of the game. Don't see that too often at womens hockey games. Nice win for the girls! Icing on the cake was knowing the gopher men lost as well. We did not chirp at anyone walking around Dinkytown.
  7. That is not updated. As far as AHL all I know is: Vandy & Chorney are in Oklahoma City... I think they are in Houston's division, so they might be a good bet. Kozek is in Chicago. (Is Forney there or in the ECHL?) Finley is in Hershey. Is Watkins still in San Antonio? JP Lam is in Abbotsford. I'm sure a new list can be made that is better than my "off the top of my head" attempt at a list
  8. it's also up at fightingsioux.com FYI.
  9. it's 6. it was moved back because of the women's hockey game.
  10. heard she has been injured, so that would explain that.
  11. Gregoire has NOT played center. And according to Hak, he will not be playing center this year. Too good along the wall. He didn't play center in juniors either. Hextall has played center in juniors, as has Trupp. Guys like Lammy & Rowney played center last year, so I'm not sure depth is a concern on the bottom 2 lines, I think it's depth on the top lines that might be an issue? That said, I think we'll be okay. I think Knight will do well up there.
  12. I follow them on twitter. they will let me know.
  13. Agreed! With this craptastic economy, the last thing we should be doing is trying to rip off fellow hockey fans. Also, in some places it is illegal to sell for over face value.
  14. Good news about Schmaltz! Moving off topic here, but Rocco Grimaldi is scheduled to be on The Pipeline Show tonight. http://www.thepipelineshow.com/index.php They archive their shows so you can listen to the clips later if you don't want to listen live. You know they'll ask him about the WHL, so it'll be interesting to see what he has to say about that.
  15. My bad... I read somewhere online that he was, but obviously that was inaccurate, you know how some internet sites are these days. I wasn't paying that much attention to him at the game last night, but noticed their line in general. The pace of the game seemed fast to me, just a little sloppy...
  16. Michaelson is a forward. I'm not sure if you knew that and were just grouping him into players you'd like to see us get or not. But since we are discussing D, I wasn't sure why you listed him. Fasching is a D. Saw both him and Michaelson(and a bunch of other players) play last night in the Elite League. To the person who asked about Evan's brother Hayden Trupp... Hayden is small and probably needs to get a little stronger before he can make it to college. He plays a similar game to Evan from what I've heard.
  17. I'll take all 3. Granted the only one i've seen play is Molenaar, but I will take them all anyways. I'm willing to compromise with 2 of the 3.
  18. You mean his older, more experienced cousin by quite a few years? lol
  19. That would be his brother. just an FYI
  20. Just to clarify, I was referring to the 2011-12 season as "next" year. I consider us to already be in "this" year. I don't know if I made that clear haha. And by OK I meant quantity wise...
  21. About Molenaar, he might be good enough to go straight to college out of high school, but it's hard to say. He's played elite League, he's played internationally... That said, I "heard" it speculated that he was going to commit to Boston College, but that was a rumor and he hasn't committed anywhere that I'm aware of. As far as 'D' recruits go, I personally think we'll be okay for D next year but I'm not foreseeing all the early departures others might see, but the following year we're going to need some D in the wings...
  22. I know for a fact we're pursuing Cammarata and Stepan(I read an article), I don't know much about MacKinnon except that he's from the same hometown as Sidney Crosby and some call him the second coming of Sidney Crosby, but I've never seen the kid play or anything. So I'd guess MacKinnon is bound for the Q. We could very well be pursuing all three. There's a lot of recruits we get that I'm never aware we are pursuing. I also agree that Stepan is likely Badger bound.
  23. I'm assuming we are talking about Taylor Cammarata and Zach Stepan? Those are the only two I know we are pursuing.
  24. Yup, good luck Davey! Sad it didn't work out for him at UND, but I hope he finds some success in his hockey career.
