Minor detail. Worked for Gerbe and BC in 08.
-
I believe the NCAA sends them home, not UND. I think it's a policy or something.
-
the only times I've noticed Donovan is when he skates in our zone around ALL our D, goes around the net and scores.
-
I've been apprehensive about Miele winning because a) i think Frattin is the best player but they will use the past against him and b) it's hard for me to vouch for a guy when I've always thought his teammate Carter Camper is a better player. Not to say Miele's not a great player, but... those are just my thoughts.
-
I agree with the person on another board who compared it to the Kevin Porter/Nate Gerbe situation in 08. Gerbe was the one with the character issues. Porter was the clean one. Porter won the Hobey, Gerbe single-handedly won BC the national championship. I'm okay with this analogy if we get similar results. Porter = Miele, Gerbe = Frattin
-
With a race as close as it is, Frattin's past is the deciding factor if you ask me. And hasn't it already been decided? I believe the top vote getter of the hat trick is the winner and they don't vote again.
-
I believe you have to. Gerbe was there in 08, as did Blake Geoffrion last year, and Matt Gilroy and Colin Wilson the year before. All of those guys played in the national championship game the next day. He's not going to not show up. It's on TV. It's not like he knows who is going to win. How would it look if the winner wasn't there? He'll be there.
-
It's not his character, it's his REPUTATION if you ask me. There's a difference. But I agree. It's too bad, but some people aren't willing to overlook past transgressions. That guy on the podcast sounded like a d-bag anyways. Definite east coast bias considering all his praise for Atkinson, yet Atkinson beat up a kid on a bike.

Not everyone gets tickets through UND. I put an ad on USCHO and got tickets that way. Many go in the lottery. There WILL be a large cheering section for the Sioux in St Paul.
-
tickets say NO REENTRY.

I will be cheering for the Irish against UMD. I'll tell you why. So... how many UMD fans would be cheering for us against Michigan? I'd say very few. I will return the favor. That and having bragging rights over my cousin, the UMD alum with a high paying job as opposed to me.... would be EXCELLENT. That, and I had fun cheering for the Irish in Denver.
-
You could do white. I was thinking green or black. That way we can have a little variety. I'll text you.
-
That is not a good sign idea.
-
I'll do it if you do!
-
I'LL BE THERE! Yes, I'm excited. I'm traveling so far too.... all the way from.... Minneapolis. I'll be in Club with 3 other friends.... I'll be making a scene... in a positive way.

The only thing I question is the fact that the writer says that the WHL team has had discussions with the BLUES not with Schwartz. I don't know where the kid's head is at, but I just don't know if he would bolt for the W. Maybe for the NHL, but not the W. But what the heck do I know....

With all due respect to Duluth fans, the reality is Jack Connolly is not considered one of the front runners for the award. He's a deserving finalist, but I don't see him making the top 3, mainly because there's that looming question: is he the best player on his team? Before the tourney started, I believe the candidates with a shot at the Hobey were Frattin, Miele, Atkinson, Thompson, and Camper. But yeah, the Herald goofed on that.
-
Not actually. Jack Connolly and UMD play at the Frozen as well.
-
Agreed. A lot of them are good players that didn't win anything in college and some moved on successfully to the NHL level.
-
I think like 7:30 this morning.
-
They had the DU radio guy on WCCO this morning and he said his first thought was someone from GF pulled the alarm but it was confirmed by the hotel that it was something in the kitchen.
-
In the tournament or in general? We wore them at home against SCSU this year. anyways, it's up to the boys to put DUMBver back where they belong: At home, watching us win. Someone's gotta put those d-bags in their place, and it needs to be us. i hurt my back so watching this game at joe sensers today will be a challenge ... but no pain, no gain, right? LET'S DO THIS BOYS! GO SIOUX!
-
I picked UNO over Michigan and UNO over Boston College. (the first is more likely). That's probably my heart talking. That and I saw Cam Atkinson's tweet about basically already putting BC in the national championship game and I found that arrogant. Aside from that, I picked Western Michigan over Denver (Heart talking again). I picked UMD over both Union and Yale. Those were my picks. That said, I wouldn't be all that surprised if none of that happens. I also won't be disappointed if UMD doesn't get out their regional, if CC beats BC,or if UNH beats Miami in the first round.

Well yeah, but do you think if you got offered a one-way deal with the big club you would turn it down as opposed to a two-way deal with someone else? This basically means he can't be demoted to the AHL without waivers.... I think... so he'll be playing with the big boys.
