A tender is like a free agent signing. They are players that haven't been drafted that a team decides they'd rather not take the chance they would be available when they would be drafting, so they get the player to sign a tender. I've heard that if a team tenders a player they give up a first round draft pick, but not sure on the complete process. Most tenders I've seen are younger players in their first year of USHL draft eligibility.

They should all do one of those obstacle course races in the off season to prepare for these kind of situations!

I will debate that strength of schedule argument until I'm blue in the face. I did not find our schedule weak at all.

I signed up during the Frozen Four once. I was in Denver and registered while there. I was at severe senior status due to a double degree thing though so I registered before most by quite a while. Lots of people don't register right away. The only way you really need to is if you have classes that are in high demand.

Considering how awful Minny's defense was in that game, is it really that far fetched that some of our fans think we might've played better? It's just speculation is all. Doesn't mean anything.

Was his brother(s)? like that kind of player? That could be where the assumption comes from. He may be gritty, but with numbers like he put up, I'm guessing he's more of a mixture. Looking forward to seeing what he brings to the team next year.

Miami wasn't one of the teams that screwed us non-conference to be fair. UNO and CC on the other hand...

I will be in the upper deck of Wells Fargo Center. My previous Frozen Four's I sat in Club level, and we lost, so I'm never sitting club again.

Technically they did, but I'm not sure I personally feel a big rivalry game is an easier draw. But I'm not surprised this is the attitude in MSP.

I think we're at the Ramada as well. Also used the Wyndham points. We're going to do the long drive though. Can't wait to get out there.

Our hotel is 3/4 mile from the arena and we are way under $150/night. Must be in a sketchy area. Oh well. We don't plan to be there that much.

I just think it's kind of cool that it's literally going to be East Vs. West this year. Doesn't always happen like that.
