Maybe another goalie from Michigan can help UND will a National title in Tampa next April.

Through five games UND is giving up an average of 31 points a game. Need to see some improvement if they want to be considered more than a one and done playoff team at best. If the defense continues at its current pace than they’re likely to go 2-4 or 3-3 in the final six games which means they will miss the playoffs again this season. This would be a good week to seeing some improvement in that area.

What is “the defense sucked”.

Well at least we held them to a FG on one possession. They’ve made it very difficult for SIU offensive coaches to make any adjustments since everything is working.

We can’t stop the run and can’t stop the pass. But at least we can’t put pressure on the QB. Absolutely pathetic defense. Need a 180 degree change in the second half and force some turnovers to have any chance in this game.

First and goal from the three and we didn’t pound it with Hoosman ? Quit trying to outthink everything. A field goal is a disappointment with the way the defense is playing.

This teams pass coverage is terrible. Not seeing any improvement as the season progresses.

The next three weeks will give us a much better idea of the level of this team. The argument for: they are 2-1 with the only loss to an FBS P5 team. The argument against: Nebraska is one of the worst P5 teams and the two FCS games were close wins against suspect teams. If the defense keeps giving up an average of 30 pts/game they will be in trouble. Need to see improvement starting Saturday. If they want a chance at a first round bye they probably need to go 3-0. Anything less than 2-1 and there’s a good chance the team misses the playoffs.

UND didn’t cover so the refs did their job.

Nice to get a road W early in the year. Hopefully this gives them some confidence and they improve off of this game.

The only acceptable penalty is if you get beat to the end zone on a long pass.
