  1. As a 2000 BSM grad, and someone who knew Troy persnally let me assure you that this is completely off base and has no merit. He chose Minnehaha Academy because Jack Blatherwick coached there. Jack went to BSM and Troy followed. I've never known him to be a cheap player.
  2. Yeah, I made sure that one was visible while they were waiting in the wings to come onto the ice before the game...some were pointing at it.
  3. Shepherd's Saturday game up here vs. the Gophers two years ago (when they got lucky and swept ) was the worst I've seen...until this Saturday. Correct me if I am wrong (may only be an NHL rule) isn't blood an automatic double minor? Even if it isn't in the NCAA I've seen officials call it both for and against the Sioux. It's getting dangerous out there now, even with the relatively lax rules about fighting (5 min. major) the NHL seems to be a safer place to be. I understand not wanting to promote fighting at the college level, but if they are going to allow what went on Saturday to continue...let Greene and Schneider have Parise's back without getting suspended for a game. And since when is slaching the goaltender after the whistle OK?
  4. psst...You forgot to thank the little people
  5. yeah, a high school basketball game.
  6. They don't allow signs in Marriucci, so I doubt that would work. Sorry, I would have gotten back to you about the penalty box signs, but I don't have internet access at home anymore, so coming I can only get online every few days at the Union.
  7. I really don't see the comment as a flame...just bringing up some simple questions. Obviously, as the only series he saw Zach was bothered by a knee injury, he may not have been impressed. Would anyone here have been impressed with Vanek if the only time you saw him play was the series at REA this year? Probably not. But, we know that he is a pretty decent player. Zach is off to a slower start than last year, pointswise, which will lead others who only go by the stat sheets to think that he is not playing well. Getting to actually see him play we all know otherwise.
  8. Diggler, what time are you going to be waiting at the arena...I'll join you guys out there to get my seat behind the box, not sure if the two girls who sit by me will be there....flatspin, any info on this call my cell. I'll email you my new number. I'll try and bring in a McD's bag.
  9. I'm stuck in Chicago and can't listen to the webcast...any updates would be greatly appreciated from those listening or watching on TV. Thanx!!! Go Sioux!!
  10. Interesting they only mentioned Panzer's '98-99 stats...not his 80-point Hobey Baker finalist 00-01 year.
  11. Glad to hear ZPar is having another solid tournament at the WJC. Hopefully this gives him some confidence and his scoring will pick up in the WCHA. Anyone have any idea how Stafford is doing?? Go USA!!! BTW...getting wisdom teeth removed sucks and Percoset is overrated.
  12. Haha...of course, they are...the East is always jealous of the West
  13. With Brown ranked #12 (#7 on INCH) while boasting the best goalie in the country (Yann Danis, .953 SV% 1.5 GAA) and Findlay who beat poll vote-getter (#19 on INCH) Michigan St., is it really as easy a tournament as previously thought by everyone? I say no. I would imagine we'll play Brown in the championship game and Danis will certainly be a test as his numbers are better than Coole's who held us to one goal, even though he recently got lit up for 6 goals in 35 shots against Colgate.
  14. sagard is right...Sioux fans will always say "7>5" (until it changes to 8>5 )...and Gopher fans will always respond with "back to back, biatch" It's like The Song that never ends.... This is the song that never eeeeends, yes it goes on and on my friiiieeeend...some people started singin' it not knowing........why do I know this?
  15. The reason that we couldn't do that with the Metrodome is...where would we play when it's getting built? The Alerus? Chicago was fortunate enough to have U of I in realtively close proximity where they could play. There wouldn't be anyplace close enough for the Vikings to play, so it has to be built at a different site. Plus, you ever been to a game there? It's not in a great location. Not easy to get to either. Parking in the area sucks. And both Carl and Red need to sell their respective teams...they're not very good owners.
  16. Great pics Jim!!! Maybe NDSU should take this advice...they MAY even make the playoffs
  17. I think I've figured the problem out. It's not the fans yelling "shoot." It's the fact that our PP is sponsered by The Herald. I don't remember it ever being "brought to us by....." in past years.
  18. You call this ripping...DHG, I'm dissapointed, I know you can do better than that I really don't care who he backed up, or if that's all he did. He made a lot of money and was very generous with it to his alma mater. Good for us. redwing...are you saying they should build a stadium inside the Metrodump like they did in Chicago like they did with Soldier Field? The only reason they did that with Soldier Field is because Daly would have been castrated if he tore it down (he should...seeing what he did to Meigs Field ) I would be 100% against building a stadium inside the Dome. A new stadium is needed for both the Twins and Vikings, but Red McCombs and Carl Pohlad need to throw down for it, and they won't. The Gophers are a different matter, they need a stadium, on campus...for themselves. Not sharing with the Vikings and Twins.
  19. Sometimes said shooting lanes aren't as open as they appear to fans. I say we let them do their thing. I know people will continue to yell "shoot" no matter what CB or myself say, but I think we should let them do what they do.
  20. Kelso voice..... BUUURRRRRNNNNNN
  21. The Twins and Vikings need a new stadium, the Metrodump won't cut it. The Gophers need a new one too. The state should fund PART of it, the owners and the University (respectively)the other part. Duluth needs a new arena as well. It can be used for other stuff besides Bulldog sports and it WOULD serve the community rather than just tUMD. That might be what you were saying, but if not.....my $.02
  22. siouxrock...what was the point of that post? I know a lot of her friends and just found out a buddy of mine from the dorms dated her for a while, so I take this rather personally. Please, please, please...post respectfully and not like your from the National Enquier. Still clingin' to hope...by a thread...but clingin'.
  23. That, and after our 17th National Championship...it'll be expected. Unfortunately...he already has
  24. Wisco...yes, AA...not so much. I didn't expect AA to match last year's performance. They were bound to steal a few points here and there, and even a sweep or two. Wisconsin has exceeded my expectations. They are obviously getting used to Eaves' system and we should look forward to a good series with them.
