I might be interested in playing...How long do the games last (I'm not in the best shape). What's the "attire" worn...helmets, etc...

They can buy rush tickets at the arena before the game...that's about all I can tell ya...or pay a scalper more than face value for others.

They don't...the player either has to put the helmet back on, or skate to the bench. I think they should blow it though, you never know what could happen even if they skate off the ice.

What part of SLP are you from? I grew up in SLP and played youth hockey there. I live around the Miracle Mile-Browndale Park area. Would the name Obbarius ring a bell (I live across the street from them)? Who knows...I might even know you. I know what years you are refering to. 1998 SLP won a shootout 8-5 against us in the Section 5A finals, then the next year we beat Totino-Grace 6-2 (after they squeaked by SLP) to go to the state tourney (and ultimately our school's first state championship...beating UMD's Jon Fransicso and Hermantown 3-2 in OT in the first round, Riddle had a hatty in that game). Section 5 is the strongest section in Class A by a long shot. Not only BSM, TG, and SLP...but Breck and Blake are in it as well.

Since when do we care what Doug Woog has to say about the Sioux? All I expect this weekend is a split, any more would be golden (no pun intended). I wish I could make it down there for the games, but unfortunately I need to fight off a 5 credit "F" up here. So all you Gophers will need to wait until the Final Five to finally put a face with the moniker . I'll be watching on TV though. Jones for Hobey!!

Tech is a team with one line (Conner, Murphy, Taggert Desmet) and pretty decent goaltending with Cam Ellsworth (haven't seen enough of Luker). They are not a pushover team though. They will fight all the way to the end of the game and, as we saw the last 2 years, don't like it when they get beat 8-0. Pittis, while tiny, is a tough little guy who will get in there and make a few plays, but doesn't play with anyone who can A)score, or B) get him the puck.

Trust me...you don't miss Borrowed Buck's. I had a friend get, well let's just call it groped, by a 350 lb. Mexican woman with 4 teeth. And you never went out that much anyway. Jones for Hobey!! (I'm campaigning )

You can take the ACT as many times as you want. I took it twice resulting in a 4 point increase the second time.

Ah, yes...my favorite old REA memory as well. Though I've never heard any arena get as loud as the old Ralph than during the Saturday Mankato game during the final year. There were something like 80 peanlty minutes in the game. The 2nd period was nuts. During one "disagreement" all five players from both teams were given roughing penalties. There were Mankato players standing in the box because there was no room to sit.

Brandt is the man this year. Though I do have to add that I am pretty comfortable with Jordan as the back up. And I have also been pretty impressed with Ziggy's play in as little time as I've seen him.

Thanks Scmidtty...great job. Rivals PCM's coaches show recaps I hope that McCleod finds out the Devils are not happy with the treatment of ZP and all the non-calls. I'd hate to see Parise leave next year because NJ feels he is safer in the AHL.
