I hope the Philly/Pitt series goes 7 games, it's been entertaining to see what will happen next...kind of like those old cliffhanger TV series.
-
Seems like the media is thinking he's going to get about 3 or 4 games...maybe I'm wrong but I'm guesssing we won't see him again until after the season starts next year. If they don't make an example of this guy there is no hope of it ever happening.
-
Seriously? That was 2 hours ago, man I hope this isn't some kind of spine injury. I think Torres better enjoy this game, with his suspension history and this hit he might not play NHL hockey for a long time after tonight.
-
And while I was reading this Hossa just got destroyed at center ice and has layed there for about 3 minutes. Oh crap now they are putting him on a board. On the replay the guy left his feet so he will have some repercussions from that hit. Looks like it was Torres. And now Toews is jawing at the Phoenix bench, announcers are saying that some of the Phoenix guys were laughing on the bench and Toews saw it. This could get ugly later.

Order of the Phoenix Athletic Association Harry Potter, Commissioner "Wizards, witches, cheaters, offensive names and logos...we accept everybody. Except BYU, but that's just common sense".
-
I see NJ has pissed away an early 3-0 lead at home and is down 4-3 to Florida after 2. Brodeur pulled in the first, wow I wonder if that has ever happened before?! EDIT: They lose 4-3, not a happy crowd.
-
For me it's Colorado, then Detroit...those two teams should never win another Stanley Cup.
-
Something about an evil scenario with a Sioux team under sanctions, I got bored so I'm waiting for the movie.
-
I just saw the highlights...or lowlights...of that game, it was all cheap shots by Pittsburgh. Was it really that bad?
-
Kreider in the lineup for the Rangers tonight, sat out the first two games.
-
You're right it is the last hope, although it feels very slim. Is anyone going to the proceedings Thursday?
-
No kidding, they have totally melted down in this series, no kind of discipline in any part of their game. I really thought they were the team to beat in the East. Doesn't break my heart they are on the verge of playing golf though.
-
Nice effort by Oshie and St. Louis last night, going to be a good series if the brawl at the end is any indication. I don't know what Brauns deal was, he was fortunate the ref didn't let Crombeen pound on him, but then he got caught punching a guy from behind by Polak who basically beat the sh^t out of him. Glutton for punishment I guess.

To me Detroit is about the same as the Yankees and Cowboys, you're either a big fan or can't stand them. I missed the start of the game but I see Bertuzzi and Weber went at it about a minute in, probably a good idea to get it over quick and concentrate on the series. Looks like the Philly/Pittsburgh game is going to be a wild one again.
-
Can you imagine how this would have played out in the days of Probert and Co.? That would have been epic.
-
Even more important than a nickname for most.
-
Maybe if he was leaving for a better program. Mankato shouldn't be a concern. EDIT: Beat me by seconds yzerman
-
I was wondering that too, Detroit...and this sounds funny for them...doesn't really have a true goon on their team right now, so I guess Bertuzzi would be the most likely candidate. They might settle it quick or they might just keep lining him up for big hits until he blows up, going to add a little drama to game two. And this is pretty good...the $2500. fine is the maximum amount under the Collective Bargaining Agreement. $2500.? For punching a guy in the back of the head and then banging it off the glass? My wife could spend that on a good shopping day. What a joke.
-
I see Weber escaped suspension and was fined $2500 and put on double-secret probation for the rest of the playoffs, I would consider him and Nashville lucky. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3Khy9gghfY&feature=player_detailpage

Be interesting to see how they bounce back from that meltdown, will they cowboy up or are they toast? If I'm Philly I'm feeling pretty good today. I agree it would be cool to see Oshie win it all...first Toews, then Oshie...that would be neat.
-
I only saw the first period but they were taking stupid penalties left and right, and it sounds like it didn't get any better.
-
Nashville holds off Detroit 3-2 in a wild finish, Weber from Nashville might be getting a love call from the league for slamming a Detroit guys head off the glass at the end of the game. Nashville took a penalty with under a half minute to go so it was 6 on 4 at the end...good thing it wasn't any longer or it could have been the second OT of the night.
-
Philly comes back from 3-0 to beat Pittsburgh 4-3 in OT. Philly got a break on their first goal when their guy was waaaay offsides on a breakaway and the ref was out of position, but the story of the game was Pittsburgh was just going thru the motions after getting the big lead early and Philly outhustled them badly the rest of the game. Not a bad way for the playoffs to start.

The thing about it is we (Montanans) already get almost all of the Griz and that other school's games broadcast now, so for us it is a wash. I wish they would have given each school in the conference a couple games rather than just making us change channels.
-
I would donate towards his salary if he comes back.
