Regarding the question of would I be willing to ante up another 25%... yes I would. However, I would do it begrudgingly, and only to maintain my curent seat locations. I'm too damn old to start over again at the end of the list. The main issue for me is what this move will do to our basketball programs, and many of my sentiments echo those of Gene Roebuck. I truly believe that the traditions and success we have come to enjoy (from our Women's program primarily) will be void for a long, long time. Quite possibly, they may never return. I don't think going to I-AA in football is enough of a reparation to watch our basketball teams play the likes of Presentation College. If you cut off your head and stand on it, you're not any taller.

Surprisingly, I found myself picking lots of "2"s for the good guys. That said, I came up with the same result... probably 4th or 5th.

Regarding the LBs... what was the extent of Halstenon's injury towards the end of this season? Wasn't he also injured at the beginning of the year, and was it the same injury? My point being his ability to stay in the rotation often enough to make an impact. He's a very good player when he's healthy, but does he have knee issues? BTW, great post to start the thread UND92,96.

Rather than go for it on 4th & 1, I would have hoped we made something out of the last 2:30 of the first half, instead of running out the clock. We wasted a precious possession at a time when we were moving the ball on a somewhat shaken Pitt defense. You score to end the half, you take momentum through halftime, and make the opponent and crowd think twice about their confidence. This, IMO, was a missed opportunity to get some points on the board, and swing some momentum our way. Instead, we receive to start the 3rd quarter on an adjusted and rested defense, and we have to start from scratch. (forgive my armchairing)

Unfortunately, I haven't seen that in a long, long, time. Definitely an imprtant skill for power plays. Roche certainly had it. As far as a single player 2000-P, I'd have to go with Panzer.

If he's looking to play, I don't think UND would be his best option. He's got a "game-experienced" Belmore and heavily recruited Manke in front of him. IMO, he'd have to be very talented to pull the QB job from these two...

I agree, the constant penalty killing is also killing our offense. I'm waiting for Hak to pound some discipline into some of the repeat offenders' thick skulls. This pick-up league play is costing the team conference points... and in my book, that's serious enough to take action. IMO, he better do it now, because post-Christmas break is no time to have to mess with stupid sh*t like this.

Haven't voted yet... didn't see heart or chemistry on the list. I don't know why I stayed for the 3rd period on Saturday... when they skated out for the third, you could see what was going to happen. Talk about being beaten... dissapointed would be an understatement. Were the line combinations changed for Sat vs. Fri? I thought they were, but I may be wrong. If so, WTF?

I think that mail address will get lots of mail this week, and not only from the students. I thought this was over with? The last two years there was no problems at all. The students near me were curteous, while still full of spirit. And at appropriate times, stood up and cheered, and nobody cared. Now, students are standing for the other teams power play, and Dean Blais is in a suite telling them to sit down so he can see. (yes, this did happen, no BS) My sincere thanks to whomever came up with the lottery system for student tickets, for bringing this whole stupid situation back to square one. You get the stupid ass of the year award.
