Sorry, I've been out enjoying this amazing day at the lake today but I wanted to address some of what Bison06 has posted. When I posted the idea, it was never to have this be our new rival...nothing will replace what we've had with Moo-U, but MSU is an opponent that we will play every year, so I thought that the trophy game would be awesome. I don't think anyone would consider Minnesota-Michigan to be an amazing rivalry, but everytime they meet it is for the Little Brown jug. And if I'm not mistaken, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that the Dakota marker is a scaled replica, I think it's the actual thing, because I know the guy that picked it up out of the field and took it back to his hayology instructors at DSU-Fargo with the idea of using it for their trophy for the games with their new biggest rivals. If I'm not mistaken, he got into some hot water for removing this from the location.

So who do we talk to about getting this done??

This might have already been brought up in discussions but it was something that I was thinking about this morning on my way to work in the oilfield....but why not play one of the Montana schools for the "Bakken Trophy." Could be a bronze pump jack or drilling rig. Seems fitting with both of the states having Bakken oil (eventhough we are vastly superior at pulling it out of the ground)....might be a good way to start a new tradition. Feel free to tell me I'm crazy, but it might be kind of fun. Your thoughts?

I'm relieved and excited about a certain lack of Dickinson Trinity in the tournament. Still miss the old days of the really small schools in the "B". I want Epping, Grenora, and Rhame to win it!! Too bad a lot of small programs like these are disappearing.

I think that the Alerus will be a nice spot for this tournament, not as cavernous at the Dome in Fargo, but not as nice as the Civic Center in Biz. With that said, GO BEULAH MINERS....always have to pull for the west!

I know that Alanna caught a lot of crap in Grand Forks during their last trip and then it was followed with one of Chamber's "UND sucks and here is why" articles, but as a Rockies fan who watches a lot of the games, I thought that her reporting was top notch....she'll be awesome at MLB

I talked to Kodee's brother yesterday and told him that I hadn't really heard anything about UND recruiting him. He told me that Breitbach came to Baker (Breitbach's hometown) and talked him into it. The kid is very fast and looking forward to lighting up the Big Sky!

We should start a "Game In Game Out" or "Night In Night Out" drinking game....anytime ol' dummy Gorgg mutters one of those two statements or blantantly washes Patterson's testes, take a shot!!

I like the black end zone idea and the idea of the interlocking ND at midfield within a silhouette of the state, why not smaller Alerus logos at the 25's in opposite corners of the Big Sky logo? Too busy maybe? Just a thought...

I find it rather amusing that all of you got your panties in a wad over not seeing "Beer Grandma" anymore....if you are going to the hockey game to see "Beer Grandma", then stay home and watch the damn thing on youtube while the rest of us watch hockey! Spent my first year of college at DSU and hated it and was going to transfer, choices were BHSU and UND....glad I chose UND although Spearfish is beautiful and warmer than GF. Future sister-in-law is a BH cheerleader and she won't bet me on this game.....I even spotted her 30 points!! Is there TV today? A perfect way to wrap up a day in the patch would be to sit down and watch the SIOUX put a whooping on the Jackets!! GO SIOUX!!

And bite the hand that feeds you? The legislature really went on a powertrip last winter and they weren't going to be told that they were wrong.

I ran into a drunk Bi-son fan in Deadwood one night while I had a Sioux hockey jersey on. He started spouting off...go figure. I was also wearing a Sioux t-shirt while in Denver a few years ago and got into a screaming match with a gopher fan from across the street. It was actually a lot of fun.

This is an awesome get for Sioux Football. I'm looking forward checking wells in the oil patch this fall with Sioux football and Jack's voice blaring through the buttes!
