Far from not being able to understand the game. Do I think Berry is a good coach, ya I do but to sit there and say he has been consistent is simple not true.

The problem with your take is Berry hasn't had consistency. After he won the national championship it was a first round exit and then not even making the tournament.

Don't agree on a lot of your takes but this one is spot on. Its been 5 years since we made it to a FF. We haven't had that happen since the early 90's.

I understand that many don't have an opportunity to say "I was an Olympic athlete", but where is the pride in saying "I represented a communist country because I wasn't good enough to represent my home country"? You think Ralph Cox would've renounced his citizenship to play for a communist country?

How can any of these hockey players "from China" look at themselves in the mirror and say I was an olympic athlete? They had to know that they were never going to actually compete for a medal, so why even bother renouncing your HOME country to play for some communists? I don't get it...

The proposed cuts by the department did not include Women's hockey nor did it included Women's swimming and diving. Kennedy changed what Faison proposed. I was there, everything you have been parroting in this thread is what you read in the papers and not the real story. What Faison and Irle originally proposed, cut UND down to the minimum sports for D1, and would have saved more money. This was supposed to have come out in a press conference on Monday, Kennedy stopped that and changed it to Wednesday. That's why the hockey recruit was in town. They weren't on the chopping block until Kennedy played politics.

Toolkit for what? A lot of the pro players end up saying they wished they never left early. Fact of the matter is when those kids have millions of dollars waved in front of them, they are only thinking about the money and getting to the NHL.

These sports teams can ask for them all they want. I just don't want to hear complaining from them if attendance starts to dip and revenue slides due to people not wanting to go due to these hassles just to get in. Also, people got a long this past year without sports. I think they have seen that it is possible to spend your time and money elsewhere.

Augustana has been saying they are going full fledge D1 for a long time. I won't believe this until a team is on the Ice

Hold the phone here. I never once said Berry is a terrible coach and Sandy is better, I am just pointing out facts. I also am pointing out that Hak never got a pass and neither should Berry. I am sorry you don't like what I pointed out and that it probably hurt your feelings but the fact remains, Berry hasn't been consistent in his short tenure. Does that mean he should be fired, no it sure doesn't. What it does mean is they have work to do and Berry would be the first to tell you that too.

Never did I wish they would leave. However, it was going to be a given that Kawaguchi, adams, kiersted and mismash were going to leave because they were seniors. Pinto is a 32nd overall pick, he wasn't going to stay (especially since they tried to get him to leave last year).

How can you say that UND was the best team in college hockey the past 4 years when I just laid it out the last 4 years? They don't even come close to being the best team in the last 4 years. I never said Berry should get fired but he needs to find out what worked when he won it in 2016, when they could score at will. With tournaments being 1 and done, you need to bring your A game every night (no matter the circumstances) and the past 4 years UND hasn't brought their A game every night.
