Not happening. As an affiliate member we MIGHT get a very small percent of money but that would have to be negotiated before joining, otherwise we get jack. Also, we would have to play by B10 rules when it comes to conference play. I don't know about you but I don't want Thursday night or Sunday afternoon games because of football.

That's fine and neither am I but other sports programs get screwed out of the deal and it sucks. Not sure why you downvote my post over my statement when we basically agree.

They signed a new usage agreement here back in 2020 due to the university being unable to run it the way it should be ran, which is the big problem. I know the arena needs money to stay up to date but after all the bills are paid and some money goes to a rainy day fund, the rest of the money goes elsewhere and this is where the rest of the teams get screwed.

Far from nit picking because of a lose. I'll say it again in case you missed it but my disdain for her comes from the fact that her stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt has kept the advancement of the nickname of the university. If they want to use the nickname and culture as an excuse than we should have stayed as the flickertails. Also, when I donate to the University, I don't dictate to them how to use the funds and if they don't use them the way I want or fire the people I want, that I will withhold funds.

The jerseys themselves are cool and designed nice but put Vegas '22 on the back like they did for Nashville last year. You are correct, we probably wouldn't have an amazing arena without him and I'm fine with the arena being call the Ralph Engelstad Arena (has a nice ring to it) but it's the rest of the bullcrap that has come with it. The Vegas destination games are to stroke her ego and to let Vegas casino owners know that she's still around. Out of all the destination games that have gone on in the past ten years, there is no reason we have gone to Vegas twice. If we are playing these destination games to expand our footprint and expose new people to UND hockey, why go to the same place twice? Also, guess who the host school is when the Frozen Four goes to Las Vegas in 2026

100% agree. We can appreciate his financial gifts and his love for the hockey program but it just seems to me like UND and the hockey program are puppets to Kerry Engelstad. This "hero" appreciation that they do for him is a slap in the face to every other player that has played at UND and actually contributed to the success of the program.

I have no problem with them celebrating the way they did. If we don't like it, our boys should've done something about it. The fact of the matter is, at this very moment we are not a good team and these last three weeks could very well determine if we get in the NCAA tournament. We don't play very many non-conference games and to go 1-3-1 in non-conference play is not a good look for our team.

Not even close. I have posted many times about my distain for her. The fact she uses the hockey program and her last name is all for ego purposes.

1. It’s her dads foundation. 2. Outside of building the arena, what have they done for the program? We haven’t advanced very far. We have only won one national title in the 20+ years that building(their foundation has “helped) As much good as the “foundation” has done for UND it has also set other sports programs back with the main one being the logo change. Her refusal/stubbornness to get with the times and help the university move in the right direction is awful.

She don’t pay the bills at the arena.

This team sucks. Can’t get shots on net, play with no heart and are just living on the past while not building for the future. Also, can we please stop catering to this lady?! I’m sick of her and her drag on the university

Well the Ralph Engelstad Arena/Jody Hodgson are the ones who put these destination games on with the support of the University.

UND didn't create the problem, the hockey program and the Ralph Engelstad Arena created the problem. What they haven't figured out is how to fill the REA every weekend. The Holy Cross weekend and the Quinnipiac still had a lot of empty seats in them. If we claim we have the best fan base, that arena should never have an empty seat in it.

It shouldn't (but it will) deter attendance for UND fans because as a fan base we say that we travel well to all the games. The reality is, we as a fan base are in love with the idea that we travel well but we only travel well when it's a destination game.

highly doubt a 10 year deal will be given to him. I don't think Boras is looking for years as much as he is looking at getting the most he can a year. I could see a 7 year deal at 275 million with an AAV at 39.2 million.

This game worn Eades jersey is a prime example (also since he made his jerseys) of how its incorrect. To the naked eye they look the same but the facepaint is off, the top of the hair is off and his face lines are not accurate to what he has on his. Now this could be chalked up to the people he used to create the jerseys but they are not 100% accurate. Now with the shoulder patches (and each year was different due to carryover jerseys and new ones brought in) the green jerseys had interlocking tomahawks on the S and on the white ones the tomahawk layed over the S.

To be honest his accuracy is not 100% correct on some of his blackhawk style jerseys.

Agree to disagree but I sure as heck wouldn't say making the NCAA tournament and playing in a game your are more than likely going to lose. Be that Cinderella team that makes it all the way to the sweet 16 or farther and then we are talking something different, other than that you are just another team that made the tournament.

That is just not true. You're going to sit there with a stone cold face and believe that? How many people still talk about those games in the NCAA tournament? ZERO. How many people talk about College Game Day being in Fargo or 5 straight national championships NDSU won?
