I think that's why I'm more interested in DeBoer. I think the potential with him is higher and the excitement that comes with a younger coach is great. I'm ok with Bubba but he doesn't give me the excitement. The positive with Bubba is he could bring in an OC who runs a higher tempo offense.

I'm really impressed by Wall's ability to have her back to the basket then turn and shoot accurately in a very quick motion. She clearly has great knowledge of where she is related to the basket at all times.

Of course $150k isn't a competitive salary. That's why it's called the minimum. If you're able to bring in someone good who makes $90k right now, why handcuff yourself with a $250k minimum when they may accept something less than that? What was NDSU's minimum salary? Just because their HC makes $260k doesn't mean their minimum is any higher than UND's. And didn't Faison say they received additional funding to increase the original minimum? Then why still bitch about $150k?

Because the word minimum means it can't go any higher than that.

And doesn't Faison know the coach will need more than one assistant coach? It's like he's never hired anyone before!?!?!

I see an announcement/press conference on Thursday or Monday. You don't announce a new coach on a Friday, that day is reserved to sweeping bad news under the weekend rug.

One of the reasons I'm ok with it taking longer for Faison to announce is that he isn't trying to fit it into a small window. UND announces their coach last Thursday? NDSU's announcement today already overshadows it and the new UND coach is suddenly old news. This way, UND doesn't have to compete with NDSU for new coach media attention... and doesn't have to compete with NDSU for a new coach.

It's a matter of putting up the graphic the shows a powerplay/5on3/etc. The clock itself on the graphic comes directly from the scoreboard in the Ralph (there literally is a cable that runs from the scoreboard/clock system to the Midco truck) so if there are issues with the time on the clock it's because the time on the clock in the Ralph is wrong.

Let me know when Hak has a sub .500 season. Mack Brown was still the head coach at Texas three years after his team finished 5-7. Mack's team then never lost fewer than 4 games for the next three years. Absolutely nothing in common with the Texas situation and UND's situation.

I've just been browsing the past few pages but do we have the actual, official list of 9 applicants? If not, then why is everyone assuming the people that aren't on it? There have been a ton of rumors and even more bitching during the past couple of weeks and yet the only official info we know is who the official applicants are. Just weird how many people are criticizing Faison when all everyone is operating off are rumors.

I think the biggest travesty is that the American Tire commercial no longer features the tire going up the stairs. I will forever boycott American Tire in Grand Forks until the tire breaks the laws of physics and goes backwards, up the stairs! This is such an important issue for the people of America that it overshadows the anger and frustration over a 30 second song that clearly is one of the top 5 worst songs anyone has ever heard! Where was the song when JFK was killed? I'd look into that. Also, can anyone confirm the song was not being played in the theatre when Lincoln was assassinated? I wouldn't be surprised to find out the song was at least partly responsible for John Wilkes Booth choosing a much better angle to kill Abraham because he was inclined to "get on his feet."
