The tough thing about AF is that they would struggle to compete due to recruiting difficulties. It's less noticeable in Atlantic Hockey. The Falcons play some of their best hockey of the year vs DU and CC and have won several of those games recently. However, those results are unsustainable over the season. AF would go from perennial top 4 in AH to bottom four in NCHC.

Playoff games like last night are great when you don't really have a dog in the fight. Mildly cheered for the Avs because I want to see a game live in every round. Cheered loudly on Zach's snipe and got a lot of looks. My buddy and I wore Sioux jerseys and got a lot of Go Sioux cheers from other fans. Our roommate is a Florida kid and is starting to become a Sioux fan. He can see we aren't lying when we say "Sioux fans are everywhere." Go Wild in game 6, then go Avs the rest of the way!

A majority of it, yes. The schools get a little bit of money but it's not as much as a regular season series.

The conference pays for travel for all teams for the conference tournament and the first round. By going to just two first round series you're saving money that can be used to bring more teams to Minneapolis which will help make more $$$.

It is only the second year of the men's tennis program and unfortunately UND doesn't have the skills of a guy like Brad Schlossman on the team.

My guess is Sutter is planning on starting Jones in game 3 and knew how badly everyone was playing for LA. If he throws Jones in there and Jones gives up a handful of goals, he may have just earned himself two goalies with confidence issues.

It's the traditional response because it's true. Let me know when a Jones team doesn't finish top 3 in the big sky and at that point we can start talking about the hot seat. Until then, I think he has earned his salary and the fans support.

I love it when people freak out about low salaries of Jones and Mussman. Both were hired before UND was d1. Should they have received a 100% raise just because und moved up? Faison opened up the checkbook to buy out Mussman and hire Bubba. I see no reason why he wouldn't for men's basketball. It's a good thing nobody here is the AD because at this point we would be on our fifth coach in two years, Brewster would have been fired last year and our football teams play book would include chucking the pigskin.

Clearly, someone who didn't want to sift through and unofficially rank 80 goals this year decided just the #1s were eligible. If you can't win your own week then how can you win the tournament? Only scrubs have complained about that. You only hear the song once a week, but it signifies that hey, this is the Top 5 goals. You just know what's going to happen next when you hear that extensively awesome music play. NBC has their three note jingle and you know you're watching NBC. Same is true for Top 5 goals. You know you're ready for something intensely satisfying when that music starts up.

Unless you're Keikla or SiouxTupa. Then you're definitely being disloyal.
