The mistake is in thinking the crime blotter is a police report. It's generally a one paragraph summary of what is believed to have happened but is EXTREMELY susceptible to mistakes. Any reporter who publishes a story with info from the blotter without talking to an actual officer is opening themselves up to a lawsuit. And I know the Herald spoke with a member of the PSU police department and their answer was significantly more official, and legally airtight, compared to a blotter.
-
Once again, just to give you an opportunity to solidify your already extremely factual opinion... where did you read 95% of the Hardee information?
-
Ok, so McFeeley published a list the day before the Herald. What a scoop. Everyone will forever remember McFeeley publishing the list of applicants who have no chance at the job. Reporting based on initial police reports is like listening to the scanner and reporting that. Very little of it is confirmed facts. If the Herald runs that he was possibly intoxicated they open themselves up for a lawsuit if it was proven he wasn't.
-
I wouldn't be so sure about that. I don't see the forum publishing any original stories about this. The Herald can hardly run a police report that says a "players dad says a player says the coach seemed drunk." Where did you first learn about the hit and run, the dui, the resignation and the driver's license issue? It was the Herald.

Word on the street is Emily Asche and Namoi Dahl are reportedly the two players who left. Hardee's file didn't show up on the public records search because it never left municipal court. Also, his first name is William and that wasn't common knowledge I guess.
-
HUGE!!!! coverup on this one. I'm shocked UND didn't issue a press release immediately!!!!!!!!! Rarely, is a DUI conveyed to the media. It is usually the local media doing a public records search and then asking about it.
-
Curious who the 2 players are

Seems like a probable scenario. Unfortunate, but glad Faison was going (did) take action. Time to hire someone new and defend the Big Sky Championship.
-
Often is cases where there is questionable behavior, employees are given the choice of resigning and that being the end of it. Or being fired and then have the employer pursue potential legal action.
-
Schlossman is reporting Hardee has resigned.

I like that many of the people who complain about UND playing a dump and chase style also complain about poor decisions with the puck. You need guys with skill who make good decisions with the puck to carry the puck into the zone. Dump and chase allows you to get the puck deep into the zone where guys with less skill can try ad win a battle along the boards. It also forces the defenders to turn their backs on incoming forwards. UND has scored a lot of its goals this year on passes from down low to the front of the net. That's what dump and chase is designed to help.

UND doesn't make it to the frozen four. It's more like the first round of the NCAA tournament. -
Studio guys on CBS were talking about possible replacements for him and no bald-headed coaches living in Fargo were mentioned.

I'm pretty torn on who I want to win between UNC and ISU today. Both teams have caused some troubles for UND.
-
UND is actually the #2 seed but they do play the ISU/UNC winner.
-
I actually don't think it will need to be that high. $175ish plus incentives will be more than enough for someone looking to get HC experience and move up.

Viewing options for Sioux hockey games this season

I am SHOCKED! Midco hasn't succumbed to the requests of 10s of people requesting a change on a message board! -
If you had the opportunity at Weber or at UND which would you take? I honestly don't know how much Weber supports football but with the new IPF and the Alerus, UND has some nice positives for a future coach.
-
There are still three more years on the UND/Midco contract. How long is the KVLY contact last with NDSU? Is it an annual thing or is there a several year contract already in place? "Most out of state viewers" aren't Midco subscribers so they don't have any way of watching the games anyway unless it is put on FCS which doesn't help Midco anyway. Midco covers USD/SDSU and UND. Adding NDSU to that isn't going to suddenly mean no more broadcasts for UND. Midco is covering six UND basketball or volleyball games all year that don't involve NDSU, SDSU or USD.

Surprised it took him that long!

1,193 at the match. Big Sky leading average of 1,030 for the season! Highest average attendance in the Big Sky since 2006.

It's on NESN and Midco. If you don't get Midco, go to a bar with directv or dish with the sports package to watch on NESN.
