  1. Why do you have to bring actual data into the conversation? Now SiouxVolley will go silent for a bit because he is wrong and it will be 4-5 days until we get another stupid prediction.
  2. UCF has a club team. Time to start up the AACHA. Where is SiouxVolley's grand plan for that league?
  3. Douple has never shown vision but has somehow kept that conference afloat through this situation several times. I don't trust him but I do trust the decision-makers at UND wouldn't just jump to the Summit without having a little forethought.
  4. I don't think ND leaves the NCHC. HE was a horrible travel situation, and the B10 only eventually wanted them. The NCHC said no after the Irish made ridiculous demands and burned bridges. And at that point, if they do leave the NCHC would be $1M richer and have more schools begging to get in.
  5. You're already making an all-star team that only plays at most, 3 random games 2+ months after they last played meaningful hockey and expecting that to decide a team in February? Yote53 included a player who didn't play a minute of Olympic hockey as someone who is "among the most impactful" on team USA but isn't even the best American defenseman on his college team. In today's culture, you can't take NCAA players for the whole year, but why not have tryouts in early December with college and non NHL pros included. They play exhibitions vs ncaa and European teams like the WJC team does. Keep those guys together for 2+ months, excluding cuts, and they're set for the Olympics having played 20+ games together. NCAA teams and leagues can adjust schedules a bit so it doesn't cause a major issue.
  6. Why is this even an issue? Isn't UND in the FBS WAC/Big Sky?
  7. If the Golden Knights were smart, they would ask the NHL to schedule the Wild or Blackhawks on the 26th. Lots of UND fans would buy up those GK tickets.
  8. This is a fantastic troll job and well deserved. SCSU has had a lot of NCHC success and have been an integral part of the conference's top ranking every year. Nothing wrong with the poster calling out those who were wrong.
  9. How many here have their names published with a list of 7 other candidates when they're headhunted? I'm guessing very few people here would have their name published in the Orlando Sentinel if they were a finalist for a job in which they were headhunted. And again, there is a difference between actively looking and being interested. When someone is actively looking, they're always interested in something new. However, when someone is interested in something new, it doesn't always mean they're actively looking.
  10. And do you know that's the case with Kennedy? There is a big difference between actively looking for the next thing and being approached by a recruiting firm.
  11. I get that UND no longer has women's hockey and there are some personal beefs with how the Lammy twins handled it afterwards, however they're still former UND athletes competing in the Olympics. I don't think it needs to turn into ragging on women's hockey.
  12. Hopefully, it just has a really pretty exterior. That's what matters.
  13. So what you're saying is you haven't had a correct prediction since 2010?
  14. Yup, it was significantly cheaper for me to fly in/out of Jamestown or Devils Lake than GF.
  15. I'm just curious. When was the last prediction you made that actually came true?
  16. When did the WCC get water polo? Some of their teams are in the GCC, some are in the WWPA and the WWPA already goes to Colorado for Air Force. The Falcons do two-game road trips frequently to California, so those WWPA teams could easily do the Colorado swing for the 3+ teams that make the trip each season.
  17. I've got "Go UND" on my Colorado license plates. I debated doing FNHawks but would have had to go through the process again.
  18. Who let those UNC fans in there?!?!?
  19. Mankato applied, as did ASU. Bowling Green was approached about applying but didn't.
  20. No, they won't receive reduced exit fees. The exit fees were put in place because the NCHC saw how easily teams left the WCHA. When you're starting a new conference, if there are some struggles early-on, you don't want teams looking for an easy exit. WMU and Miami won't be leaving anytime soon.
  21. Is that not a reason to cheer for Phili to win?
  22. The bolded part is why I doubt he will settle for a backup job.
