Guys, you can't forget that when a player is going to the outside with the puck, you cant push them down. Apparently checking is not allowed in hockey anymore. I wish people would notify me of these rule changes earlier.

I could see that because he is from GF, he knows the status with the Sioux goaltenders. He knows that we currently have 3 fairly good (when they play their best) goalies, with 2 more recruits coming in over the next two years. Blais mentioned hes gonna have to make some hard line decisions, so it could be gettin rid of some goalies, but I think that Blais will tell Ziggy to spend some time in the USHL so he is ready for UND and if we need him throughout the school year, he can always bring him in.

An article from the cities said our great Zach Parise has is friends with Crosby....and that Crosby is actually going to be graduating a year earlier than normal. That means that he is technically a junior, which means in 2 years, if everyone sticks around, we can have Bochenski, Parise, Murray and Crosby. I'm thinking that would be a somewhat good team.

Its not? I was under the impression that Blais checked out this forum to see exactly who to start and thats why Ranny got the start this weekend. Sioux have to step it up, they have to play like a team. I thought after Friday that Spie was gonna become the natural leader and rally the troops, but no troop rallying was done on saturday. We need someone to step it up and while Parise and Bochenski are important, it has to be a senior. It has to be someone who has spent the past 4 years playing for this team and loving every minute of it. It has to be someone that the players know would give 1000 % and do everything just short of playing all 60 minutes to make sure the Sioux play well. Now who will that be?

I vote for D. Ryan Sofie. I mean really, how bad can he be? I think Blais could give him a shot, we might be able to ride him through the playoffs. He is the "ironman" on the team.

Thats right, top 5 get home-ice, however the 4th and 5th place teams have to play the play-in game in and then play the next afternoon. UND needs to pick up at least 3rd place regular season so they can avoid that.

Not really... Perhaps Blais will get a "gut feeling" more often about Ranny. Ice bad...TH telling people to do something.

Pssst...you guys want in on a little secret? The fan voting means basically jack. Take a look at Kunitz...he's not going to win it, he's a top 10 candidate, but I wouldn't even put him in the top 3. Yet, he is in the top 3 in fan voting...which is why fan ballots mean nothing. Take Vince Carter, playing 10 games, and getting voted into all star game. Fan voting is flawed, which is why it doesn't really matter who you vote for as long as the player you think deserves it makes it into the 2nd round.

I also am in, however like Morley, I won't be able to play until Sunday. I'm a left wing, but also play a "Travis Roche" style of defense, except not quite as good. Edit: Willing to throw down the gloves, but I'm on tv, so I'll need some reimbursement for any damage rendered.
