This weekend they'll have SCSU and then Bemidji St later in the year. The increase has been vs HUGE () rivals AZ State, BGSU, Anchorage and Lake St. Plenty of room for growth and it's great their fans are showing up. Could even see a bigger increase in the second half. Like you said, let the full season play out. UMD and SCSU will get the UND bump but even without it, Mankato is seeing better attendance than other local teams.

It's all about consistency. Yes, UND has done well against half of the semi final field. But they also need to play well throughout the year. Losses to ISU and chose games to bad teams can easily wipe out the success of a big win.

Regardless of seed, they'll do their best to put BC in the closest regional. To be fair, they'd do the same for UND if it was hosted in MN, SD, or even NE and the host wasn't there.

I assume this is basketball you're talking about? Is there a rule that a team can't play two road games against sub D1 competition in a single year? Edit: I found it: NCAA Bylaw 20.9.8.1 states: “An institution may schedule and play not more than four basketball games, including any contest (e.g., scrimmage, exhibition), in an academic year against institutions that are not members of Division I. (Revised: 3/1/12)” This language is also reinforced by Southland Operating Code 3.02.02 (Non-Division I Opponents). So there isn't an issue with two non D1 counters joining the league in the same year, however none of the SL teams could then play any other non D1 games. The Southland did get a waiver from the NCAA when those two teams were added so there is a precedent for being able to add two at once and still play other non D1 teams.
