The NCHC needs to schedule more games against Atlantic Hockey. Head to head, the NCHC is even with the B10 and Hockey East, but schools from those conferences have played AHA teams 9 and 8 games respectively. 9 of B10s 20 wins are against AHA teams and HE is 2-4-2 vs the bottom league.

It's just so difficult to even have any hope of a win today. This team has crapped the bed so many times in big games when it counts, that to get your hopes up for a win will just leave you crushed. I'll be watching and hoping for a win but not really expecting one. And that's not how a fanbase should be.

I think the biggest issue is your #3. He is constantly injured. He was on MVP pace when they won the Super Bowl, but as we saw, a very average QB playing a bit out of his mind was able to lead that team. I think when Wentz is asked to lead the team when it's not the perfect setup, he has had some trouble with that. And his injuries probably play a big role.

The problem with any minor league team is that they play a majority of their games Thursday - Sunday. Unless they're heavy on former local players who have tons of followers, they'll be going head-to-head against UND hockey. Yeah, it's more family friendly price-wise to go to these games vs the Ralph, but what's the major draw vs high school teams?

Here in Germany, I went to a game last week with my Sioux jersey on and was asked about the Notre Dame sigh-ux. UND isn't top tier and even with a deep run into the Final Four in basketball still won't be a household name, or barely recognizable. Although, the f'n hawks logo sure stands out among other logos when displayed in a bracket.

Markstrom is expected to be back this weekend. If he isn't, the Canucks play back-to-back on Saturday/Sunday. He could get in on Saturday vs the struggling Devils.
