  1. Merrimack continues to do well, they are beating BU 4-1 right now...
  2. Ferris @ Miami is on the NHL network as well.
  3. The announcers in the UAA/UW game have already given the game to the Badgers. They are up 1-0, but if you just listened to them, you would think it was 7-0.
  4. No doubt. I remember the story that Woog has told before about visiting the old Ralph. The Sioux mounted one of their usual 3rd period comebacks against the Gophers, so Wooger called a TO. The building got so loud with the Lets Go Sioux chant that Woog couldn't even hear himself let alone his players. He just stood on the bench...
  5. I could care less if people swear at hockey games...heck, I've done it before...but profanity can't be the only thing that "throws the opponent's game off". And who said you can't sieve the opposing goalie? Sure, it's directed at the other team, but the Sioux scoring is what caused the sieve chant to occur in the first place. I think you're reading too much into this...
  6. I don't think that's what it's saying at all. It's just saying to avoid chants with profanity and instead of saying F THE GOPHERS, say something like GO SIOUX GO or something like that. Not too difficult. Atmosphere retained.
  7. According to Brad's blog, Hakstol doesn't know yet if Hextall will be available to play against SCSU or not. Everyone else will be available to play.
  8. Kind of funny/meaningless to look at now, but USCHO posted the current PWR and Bracketology: http://www.uscho.com/rankings/pwr.php http://www.uscho.com/blogs/bracketology/ja...acketology.html As of now, UND would be the final #1 seed behind BSU, Miami, and MSU. And this is how their regional would shake out: As a Sioux fan, I'd love to see that regional actually happen! As I said, it's meaningless to look at in Nov, but interesting nonetheless.
  9. Crap, I had hoped you wouldn't say anything. Now I hope Jim doesn't take away my priviledges.
  10. Great to see! Trupp seems to have turned a corner lately...it helps that he seems to finally have shaken the injury bug (KNOCK ON WOOD!). Hakstol has said before that he is a candidate for a future Hobey Finalist...I for one would love to see him really have a great senior season and prove Hakstol right.
  11. I'll be there. I haven't ordered my tickets yet though...
  12. It would be hard to take Gleason out of the lineup at this point...the kid is another Chay Genoway in the making. I can see Gleason being a big-impact player by the time he's a jr/sr. Great, smooth skater with an offensive upside. His defensive game seems to be very sound as well.
  13. I don't think it's even close at this point IMO. After watching both the Gophers and the Sioux on television quite a bit this year, Gleason has outplayed both Ness and their super-frosh Leddy. That's what makes it hard to take Gleason out of the lineup...he's just playing too well to have him sit. And honestly I'm pleasantly surprised. Entering the season, I thought Gleason would be battling for that 6th spot, but right now he's looking to be a GREAT dman for the Sioux in the future.
  14. Great story and nice pics, Bob. How did you enjoy the roadtrip at MTU? I've always wanted to go there for a series... Might be a few years until your son grows into that stick.
  15. Agreed. Sure, Fienhage wants to play, but until he earns it in practice over Gleason/MacWilliam/whoever, then Hakstol's job is to put the best team on the ice each night.
  16. GF Herald gamer: http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/140218 Good news for Hextall:
  17. Hopefully UND can light up Murray like that in a few weeks. They just showed the SOG, and it looks like UAA has 6 goals on 15 shots? At least UND isn't the only team to drop points up in Anchorage, and it brings DU pack to the rest of the WCHA pack.
  18. Not getting better. UAA 6 DU 2 Murray has been pulled.
  19. Wow... UAA 5 DU 2 3rd period
  20. Murray gets sieve-tastic in the 2nd period. UAA 4 DU 2
  21. DU 2 UAA 1 In the 2nd. Rakhshani from DU might give Trupp a run for his money in the WCHA POTW contest. He also has 3 goals on the weekend.
  22. Yep: http://portal.gci.net/gcisports/uaa_hockey I recommend using IE with it though.
  23. I guess! Last night we just posted the results from other games in the UND thread, so I thought that would be easy again tonight.
