Denver is for real this year. BU will only get better as the season progresses, but hopefully this will lessen the East Coast media giving them the title already. WMU helping the NCHC with another win, moving to 3-0-1. SCSU gets swept and is now 0-2 to start the season. Duluth and CC both lose OOC.

Not really the best OOC start for the NCHC. At least WMU and UND got some wins. Ferris State is already 0-4 on the season.

He wasn't saying that at all. Just that last year's team was very special, and it's not often that you have a team that comes together like that. UND has been lucky that we haven't had to wait 30 years for those type of teams...last year's team, Frattin's senior team, etc were those type of special teams. I would say we've had 3-4 "special teams" during our 16 yr drought...it's just that last year was the first time that they managed to pull it all together at the end.

And is home to some of the worst indoor ice ever!

It certainly is nice to go through an off-season completely content. So relaxing compared to past years when the team was very good but just fell short. Sure we lost five players to the pros. Sure we lost a great senior class. But what a year we had. And it will be another great season coming up. What a great summer to be a Fighting Sioux fan!

We had the best defense in all of college hockey last year by a decent margin IMO, and not a single 1st rounder among them. That said, BU's incoming class is easily the best in the nation this year, and probably one of the best recruiting classes of all time. The flip side of that is that not all of them will adjust to college hockey as easily as Boeser or Connor did this year. Keller is certainly the real deal and will have a monster year. BU will have a good team next year but the negative for them is that they better hope they win it all in 16/17 because at least half of their studs will be gone after one season.

Not only keeping up, but we are the best. National Champs baby!
