They didn't lose last night. Sixteen.

Wherever it is, he must be some coach to never have players give less than 100%. Ever. Practice or game.

Well that worked out perfectly.

All I read on the live chat were the mods saying that his glove was extremely weak and that he kept dropping every shot that went glove side. So I'm not sure where you read that we ran into a hot goalie.
-
Sure it does. One counts and the other doesn't. Thanks for that! I actually laughed out loud when I read that line. Regardless of what happened tonight or what happens tomorrow, UND is still on a current 5-game win streak with a favorable 2nd half schedule coming up. I would rather they blow off their holiday rust during an exhibition game than next weekend against CC when the games actually count. I am not about to proclaim that they will win the conference or the national title or anything...heck, even making the playoffs is certainly no given at this point...but I certainly am not throwing in the towel as a fan yet just because they had an OT loss to a team in Canada.

Did Gino lose some exhibition games in Canada?

The people on the live chat have gone off the deep end!!

UBC wins in OT.

5min OT plus Shootout if needed.

If Hak can't get the boys pumped up to play this very important game, I say we FIRE HIM!

All of MN's players and coach from the WJC are quite fatigued. Even though they're not back yet.
-
Beauty of a flip to himself to get between both defenders. Nice touch.

I honestly really don't see a way that UND loses a game this weekend. If they do, I am throwing my hat into the Fire Hakstol camp.

The Herald article on the Simonson commitment says he will be here next season: http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/280681/ How many forwards are we planning on bringing in next season? There are a lot of forwards that could potentially come next year...Olson, Simonson, Rowe, Voltin, Wilkie, Schmaltz, Poganski, Gersish. Meanwhile we have two senior forwards in Rodwell and MitchMac...and one somewhat longshot early departure in Grimaldi. I have to think that guys like Rowe and Voltin that have been committed forever but haven't really panned out in the USHL might be going elsewhere unless they don't mind getting pushed back another year continually. Regardless...a ton of talented forwards coming in is never a bad thing!

Doesn't want to wear out his players, since the Gopher players always come back so fatigued after this tourney.

Very cool!!

I was more poking fun at the poster I quoted who seems to never post unless it is something negative in regards to Hakstol or the team. Just having some fun. That said, I don't see what this issue with Chyzyk has to do with Hakstol "having control of his players". Hakstol has made his point very clear the past few seasons...if a player messes up, there will be consequences. LaDue sat this past weekend over a very minor infraction. Now Chyzyk screws up to a greater extent...and guess what...he's suspended indefinitely. To me, this isn't an issue of Hakstol having control, it's an issue of a player or two screwing up. He can't be expected to babysit these players at all hours of the day. Just my two cents.

Pretty sad to see an incident like this happen. Reflects poorly on him, the team, and the university.

FIRE HAK!!! Obviously.

It begins again.

Unfortunately they fall to Clarkson today by the same score.

Johnson has certainly picked up the pace recently. 2 goals last night, 2 assists tonight. We need more of that!
