  1. With good reason. Have to escape the hell hole! Fall semester starts back up mid-Aug and if ASU is anything like other hockey schools, the team members come back in July to start team workouts. For these Canadian kids, the temps in July-Sept would be a complete eye-opener from anywhere they've ever lived.
  2. As someone that lives in Phoenix (for now), one of the main reasons that my family and I are leaving in the next couple years is due to the weather. I'd take a Grand Forks winter over a Phoenix summer any day.
  3. Looks like UND will now be opting in to the House settlement:
  4. Fantastic article on incoming forward Cole Reschny. Really sounds like UND has a winner here: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6302768/2025/05/01/cole-reschny-nhl-draft-2025-prospect/?source=emp_shared_article
  5. Nice article from Schloss on Oshie: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/schlossman-t-j-oshie-never-looked-too-far-ahead
  6. Hagens signing after the draft?
  7. Will we see a bat signal this week or are we thinking any new additions will be after the draft now? Schloss and his gang seem to think that UND will stick with 8 D for this year...if so, just need 2 F (and we need to cross our fingers for no long-term D injuries again).
  8. But he keeps bringing up his Cornell education?
  9. Laurila and Reschny had good showings at the Combine: https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/und-hockey/und-freshmen-cole-reschny-sam-laurila-top-fitness-categories-at-nhl-combine
  10. Latest rumors are McKenna to PSU. It's like a different team "rumored" every week. Haha. I still can't picture him going to PSU, where the offensive scheme seems to be to just throw the puck on net from anywhere on the ice.
  11. Wodon literally can't stop with this argument, he just refuses to back down. What a horrible take. How does he suggest we get better atmosphere at neutral sites? And if he has legit ideas, why haven't they been implemented over the last 15 years?
  12. Miami hires a GM now too. Bryn setting the example. These other guys have a lot of work to do to catch up to Bryn though.
  13. That's a lot of new players in one season.
  14. WHL > OHL > QMJHL
  15. Not sure if this has been mentioned, but Lindberg will be playing this upcoming season back home in Fargo for the Force before coming to UND in 26/27:
  16. Nice USA Hockey article on Zellers: https://www.usahockey.com/news_article/show/1339877
  17. Complete the 25/26 roster with Kindel & McQueen, then add Bear next season 26/27. There, that was easy.
  18. I like it. Having a top 5 draft player from both 2026 and 2027 on the roster would definitely put UND back on the map for future blue chippers.
  19. He stuck his neck out there and got the job.
  20. About time for another BAT signal. Strike while the iron is hot.
  21. I had this same thought when I heard the news this morning. Perhaps he heard some news and realized that he was going to be more of a bottom 6 forward now...he'd rather go back to MTU and be top line. Makes sense for him if that is the case.
  22. Jr forward class is looking a bit lean now. Experience level and age will drop, as I'm guessing they'd be adding 2 more FR forwards now...so more than likely bringing in 7 of them. It'll be a young, but talented forward group. I would bet that it'll be an attractive offer to a CHL stud...coming in with a top 6 spot open. In Bryn we trust. Forwards (13): SR - Strinden, James, Rickwood JR - Menghini SO - Swanson, Littler, Croal, Andrew FR - Zellers, Klee, Zakreski, Kernan, Reschny Defense (8): SR - JR - Zmolek, Livanavage, Wiebe SO - Emery, Strathmann, Jubenvill FR - Laurila, Verhoeff Goalies (3): SR - Sandy (RS possibility) JR - Homer SO - FR - Spunar
