Agreed. There are more issues with Plasma tv's than LCD's. You get dead pixels easier, they have burn-in, glare issues, heat issues, use more power, etc... The only nicer thing that USED to hold true about plasma's were their refresh rate, they had a deeper black, and you could make them a bigger size eaisier. However, LCD technologies have all but erased those issues for the most part when it comes to buying a new LCD. My next tv will be 3D, but I'm not jumping the gun. The technology will be coming out where you don't need glasses, even though it's probably a good 5-8 years away most likely. But, by then, 3D will also be so widespread that it might actually make sense to own one.

It's pretty obvious when someone comes on the board with no post count, and tells you to check out something new and exciting like it's the next great thing. You'd have more credibility in my eyes if you didn't play the clueless card.

That just sounds like a photograph, if you get my drift.

Yuck...bad play.

Dell is the player of the game so far. Three huge saves. NoDak is outshooting the Irish, so Johnson has more saves, but Dell has the quality stops.

Sounds like you need a new computer.

This is the logo used during FSSN. It kind of looked like our new interlocking ND because it visually shows the interlocking: This is how you typically see it:

Now, I know the students are gone, but it's still a packed house (or at least very close to a sellout) and the arena sounds dead on my tv. 95% of the people there could pass as being in church opposed to a hockey game. Yuck... "Stand up and cheer, stand up and cheer for North Dakota..."

Her husband didn't go to UND so he doesn't get my vote. I hate the Cowboys.

Not yet, but I've been getting ideas. I should have one ready by the beginning of December. Is everyone liking doing the current players, or should I switch it up and do like a commemorative version in honor of a title team or something? The only hard part about doing an old team is that the pics are a lot smaller and lower resolution, making it tougher for larger wallpapers to like nice...unlike the ones I've been doing with current players.

Judging by the amount of seating behind each goal, my guess is that Duluth will shoot towards the left side twice, unless they put the students behind there for more room to distract the opposing goalie. I can't really decide either way now that I think about it.

In my late-night TV watchings, I came across one of those hour-long infomercials to buy/collect the new Presidential dollar coins. One of the hosts looked identical to Chilly, and I thought to myself, "well, that was quick, he's already got a new job!"

This is amusing. (a bit like watching the Gophers self-destruct in hockey)

Minnesota can "Pack" it in (pun intended? You tell me... )

It's a counterfeit. It's impossible to buy even a replica for that price, much less an authentic...even if it's on clearance.

They are all counterfeit reproductions. You'd probably get the jersey, it's just not the real deal.

A) What is the NFC Central and when did it become a conference? B) If you were referring to the NFC North division, I didn't mention anything about them being the weakest division...so not sure where you get that vibe from...? Name an NFC team better than the Green Bay Packers right now. The Falcons in their barn are about the only team I am convinced could beat the Packers, but at Lambeau I'd put my money on the Pack. The Giants have showed flashes, but ultimately I don't think they're stellar...definitely not a guarantee that they are better than the Packers. The Bears have won 7 games, but haven't beaten a single team...if you get my drift there (the teams they won against shot themselves in the foot as opposed to the Bears really "beating" them, but a win is a win). The Eagles have played great lately, but so have the Packers, and who knows how long Vick will last before getting hurt [again], or if he can even keep up this torrid pace he is on. The Packers are injured, but have navigated there way through it and are playing some pretty good ball right now. A lot of guys have healed up for the most part, and everyone has done their job that can still suit up. The Packers have three losses by a combined 9 points (two of them in OT), which is pretty solid if you ask me. They seem to have fixed those mental mistakes that costed them those three games they lost. I am a bit nervous about the Bears. They haven't done anything spectacular like both you and I said, but they seem to have generated some confidence, and a confident team can get on a roll. The Lions are dangerous, but they are a couple years away from being a top 2 team in the Division. Look how bad the Vikings look, and look how good the Lions look (at times), yet the Vikes still have a better record...go figure.

Hopefully the guys don't have another letdown weekend following a good one. UNO will be ready.

UND had Defenseman Brian Lee Denver has Defenseman John Lee Denver has Justin Jones UND is getting Seth Jones? Sounds like a fair trade to me

Not Sioux related, but this would have been an awesome game to be at: Tampa Bay 8 Philadelphia 7 Here's the box score: http://scores.espn.go.com/nhl/boxscore?gameId=301118015 5-4 Philly after the 1st period alone...WOW

Having Childress there in the future won't make much of a difference. There are a lot of aging players in a handful of positions. Their window of opportunity was last year, and almost did it...but ultimately didn't. This year was going to be a lot tougher no matter what in comparison to last year, because the NFC North schedule is a lot tougher and teams will be gunning to beat Favre and the almost NFC Champs from last year. At least in the near future they can look lackluster in the Golden State.

You're dreaming.

Any chance of Eids seeing the ice this weekend? I would assume if Dell had an awful game Friday night, Brad would have a chance at starting on Saturday...but, Dell I would assume is pretty much a lock for at least Friday. I would think if Dell played poorly Friday, he still might get the start Saturday.

Goalies Best Friends: Goal Posts and Cross Bars?
Big A HG replied to lomackman's topic in Men's Hockey
Dell was clearly going for the save, as he should have. Smith(?) came up right through the slot, fired a darn nice wrister, Dell raised his glove plenty high to make the save, but Dell's glove was covering the top-right corner, and the puck went between his head and the glove before clanking. Dell got beat on the shot, he did not intentionally miss the puck.
