  1. Depends on what you consider "several years", because JP Lamoureux played pretty awesome for much of his senior season and was starting to garner some quiet Hobey talks in January of that season. Too bad the season ended the way it did.
  2. The Robert Morris series may have huge PWR implications. Currently, RMU is in the PWR. They are the last team in, so they are hanging on by a thread for now, but if we sweep them, and they stay as a TUC come the final PWR, that will be big. Our 7-5-1 record against TUC's isn't stellar and may cost us a couple spots down the stretch if we don't beat the rest of the TUC teams we face. Also, getting swept by Maine is already showing it's detriment rankings-wise because it will be very difficult to get that Head-to-head PWR point with those two head-to-head losses to them.
  3. You are actually wrong. The official school colors are quote: "green and pink", and are that because they were chosen after the Prairie Rose. Link: http://www.und.edu/aboutund/faq.html#a4
  4. I don't get what makes people like you bow down to a player like Genoway so much. It makes me wonder if you even watch the games because it's obvious that as good as he is at offense, his defense has been brutal at times (completely ignoring the fact that his primary responsibility IS defense). You think I don't like having Chay on my team, which is completely false. I like Chay Genoway's game a lot. I'm just pointing out that he can make the spectacular touchdown throw when you think the play is dead...but he also throws the game-changing pick far too often for someone of his age and skill. I'm sorry for speaking my mind, I will get on my knees for Mr. Chay Genoway like the rest of you. Anyone have some extra knee pads? I'm not used to this sort of thing.
  5. I thought I heard Tim H. on the radio mention something about Rocco Grimaldi not making the trip to GF, but didn't catch the whole conversation.
  6. This quote sums it up. It's too bad Genoway tries to do too much, because he's a liability as much as he is an asset...ala Brett Favre over the last decade.
  7. Manila Still funny nonetheless.
  8. If you require 4 year players with a minimum amount of games played each season for both, JP Lamoureux and Mario might take one following next season.
  9. I'm a bit fortunate to be able to watch the game today. Had to work last night and at 2:00 am when I finally finished, I quick checked to see what the final score was, only to see it was postponed until today. It'll be another tough game that the guys can't take a shift off.
  10. What about us Wisconsin Sioux fans that got the same storm.
  11. The pink doesn't bother me because it isn't a men's athletic color. It's only an official university color because of the prairie rose the colors were chosen after.
  12. Time to pack the bags and move to LA along with the Lakers.
  13. Super Senior Chay Genoway! 2-1...huge goal.
  14. Time for a goal now.
  15. It's green jersey night btw...so the 2-0 deficit isn't out of the ordinary.
  16. I don't hold any tipped goals against a goaltender, but it's definitely not the start Dell and the Sioux wanted.

    Thanks for the heads up!
  18. I think if UND was committed on trying to bring him in, I don't think Nolan would have hesitated (although it isn't out of the realm of possibility that he just doesn't want to play at UND) to commit if there was any sort of offer. Something tells me he won't play for North Dakota.
  19. Wishing for the Sioux to play in Oxford is admirable...inviting them to bring their black sweaters is insane. I'd love to see the Sioux play in Oxford. I wish when Miami came last year that it was more than just a Holiday Tourney with only one meeting. Miami has a great environment (when football isn't scheduled) and a beautiful arena that can be very vocal at times. Enrico Blasi has been a great asset to college hockey in Miami.
  20. More notably than any of those no-name colleges is the Portland Trailblazers. If we want something unique and awesome, we are fighting an uphill battle. I think the best nicknames are all used in one way or another.
  21. That is the great Reggie Morelli who currently still resides in Minot. Reg scored the game winning goal in OT of the championship game to give UND its first NCAA Championship ever. Reggie wore #16 that year, until January that is, where he got into a scrum in Minnesota against the Gophers. His jersey got tossed into the stands, losing it for the remainder of the season. He then wore #19 the rest of the season. The missing #16 jersey was gone, and pretty much forgotten, until the Morelli's received a phone call a couple years ago from a mysterious person, who wanted to know if Reggie was still alive and if he resided at the same address still. A couple weeks later, the jersey showed up in the mail and they didn't know who or where it came from. He is a Sioux hockey legend for sure. I think the pic where you see Reggie on the shoulders of his teammates with the bridge of his nose bleeding is one of the most defining pictures in Fighting Sioux hockey history.
  22. He's got a number of crossbars to boot. He could easily have around 18-19 goals.
  23. I'd put Kristo tops on my list. It's not because he's tearing the place up, but because it's the exact opposite. As good as he's been, from the first game I saw him, he seeemed like not your typical North Dakota player. I'm not saying he's ready to move on, nor should he move on, but it's something I have felt through a lot of this season. I hope he stays all four years, because he's a heck of a player when he's getting the bounces. I think Gregoire stays all four. I think he's sold on the team commitment and knows the pros will be there when he's done. I think he has a lot left to prove and next year, after a summer of packing on the meat, he could become a beast like Frattin. Remember, Frattin was good, but was never consistent at lighting the lamp until this year, a lot like Gregoire at the moment. Blood has a chance, but he seems like a guy who wants to be at school, but having never met the guy, I can't say anything for sure. MacWilliam will most definitely be here next year, but can't say that he'll be there after that. Eidsness may move on if his playing time remains limited, like others have mentioned. The only guys I'm confident won't be here next year are Genoway, Frattin, Malone, Trupp, LaPoint, Marto, and Davidson...but I hope they all stay. I'd like to see Nelson start picking up his point production. You can tell he's a good one, but Rodwell has outplayed him substantially to this point, and no one would have guessed that. An NHL first round forward pick typically needs little time to start finding a groove. I'm not saying he needs to be a world beater, but 1 goal and 4 assists is a bit disappointing. I was kind of hoping for a 5 goal, 6-7 assist type first half of the year, and finishing around 25 points. Guys like Kristo and Gregoire weren't drafted as high and both put up more than 25 points their rookie campaigns. I know draft status isn't everything, and everyone is different, but I think it's time for him to take it up a notch. He did come straight out of high school, which is a big difference, but I think there is a lot to see with him yet.
  24. Why is it so shocking? Who knows what kind of offers he is getting? Who knows what school's they're from? Who says that just because he may be a recruited walk-on doesn't mean he can't receive scholarship money in following seasons? It isn't that rare of an occurrence even if it isn't typical.
