  1. Michigan, tied for 9th in an 11 team conference, has more draft picks on it's roster than the top three teams combined.
  2. Since 1998, BC has played in 8 National Championship games, winning four. Eight title game appearances in 15 years is pretty darn impressive.
  3. Michael Forney scored one of the three Colorado Eagles goals in the ECHL All-Star game yesterday. The ECHL All-Stars won 7-3.
  4. Bud Light...for those who want beer, but don't like the taste of beer.
  5. I really liked Frank Mazzocco and Doug Woog. They really brought energy to big games that didn't seem forced like with Doug McLeod. Yeah, Frank and Woog were big time homers, but that's to be expected, and I actually enjoyed listening to it at times.
  6. I can see them pulling it off just to make us all angry.
  7. I think we get 6 of 8 pts the next couple weekends which will set us up quite nicely down the stretch. I really feel like this team is about to breakout. One thing Hak's teams tend to do is play tight, until the stretch run of conference play. Then they tighten up again in the playoffs. If they play loose, fast, and smart, I think they can beat just about anyone.
  8. The Championship vote is now live! It's the Battle of the Business Suits. What are your thoughts on this? Here's a look at how the bracket has played out. Which matchups had the biggest upsets?
  9. It's not looking like it, but I wonder what else that tweet may have meant.
  10. Ha, yeah, I'm busted I guess. I did see it on FSN, and you are correct now that I look. Darn you FSN!
  11. It is pretty interesting how it's shaken out so far. The good news is, a Sioux jersey wins no matter what. I am partial to some of the older sweaters as well and would have liked to have seen a couple greens in the mix, particularly the 1964-67 style. The 1986-87 white vs the 2006-07 swift are only separated by 12 votes. Voting ends Tuesday night at midnight, so get your votes in!
  12. What I thought was interesting, and mentioned it right away on Saturday night before it got buried in the game thread, was both Wilcox and Gothberg had .927 save percentages going into the game. That being said, Wilcox is getting rave reviews while people weren't too pysched about Zane going into the weekend. The GAA for both was quite different in favor of Wilcox, which just goes to show that our defense isn't at the same level as Minnesota's. Yeah, Wilcox has seen a lot more action, but if Gothberg had seen more play to this point, who knows how his development would have continued throughout the course of the year. Zane has some pretty nice accomplishments as an incoming goalie and I wouldn't mind seeing him a lot more down the stretch. I do still have confidence in Clarke. There's a lot of season left and he's done some good things so far. I'm not going to grade his entire year on a couple off weekends.
  13. Tech is a team I wouldn't want to play either. Their record is what it is, but Pearson seems to get the most out of them in big games.
  14. Zane Gothberg save percentage: .927 Adam Wilcox save percentage: .927 Adam Wilcox is the second coming...Zane is the underachieving freshman.

Thanks! Your photo isn't showing up, but yeah, because red and blue looked so similar on black and white TV's, most teams decided to put some sort of pattern in the red stripe. That way, when the two grays looked similar, the pattern made the center stripe stand out. I haven't seen a design that incorporates some sort of image from the Sioux, but they do use different patterns...usually just switching up the way the white blocks are within the stripe. I think a lot of it has to do with not having a great choice for a logo or icon to use. The Geometric logo would have worked nice, and I suppose the ND would as well. Personally, I prefer just the simple blocks for the Sioux. I do like some teams' designs though. I have a lot of research to do in this department as this is something that I've just started. If anyone has any good pics of the ice throughout the years, I'd love to see 'em.

Look above you...each school picks up to three candidates. It was our school's choice to only submit one.

Started something new that has been kind of fun. It's not really jersey related, but I want to add them to Sioux-Jersey.com as I make them. As you can see it's an exact replica of the ice design at the Ralph, this one being the 2011-12 season. Is it something you'd like to see more of?
  19. Final four jerseys are battling it out to make the Championship. Head on over and cast your vote. http://sioux-jersey.com/jersey-tournament
  20. Unless he's talking about Notre Dame...looks like we may have landed Rhett Gardner. Looks like a nice-sized Canadian forward. http://www.smaaahl.com/leagues/rosters_profile.cfm?clientID=3433&teamID=344413&leagueID=9165&playerID=935964
  21. Not trying to pick a fight here at all, but if you knew what Wheeler said to Finley in the handshake line, you'd do what Finley would have too. I'll leave it at that.
  22. Looks like both teams will likely be in the "Frozen Four" together, but will have to play each other to get to the title game. For those that haven't voted, Round 3 of voting is still up! You have until tomorrow night to cast your vote which will decide the final four sweaters in the Tournament.
