My only issue is the program started in the 1940s, not 1980. We had a number of great players in the earlier generations. EDIT: You beat me to the punch on the pre-1980 comment.

I think the Wisconsin ones are pretty sharp. The worst of the bunch is Notre Dame's. Typically, I like diagonal wordmarks and classic striping like on that ND jersey, but the problem I have with it is it doesn't really have a Notre Dame feel to it at all. It feels more like a High School type look and I really don't care for the white shoulder yokes. I'm impartial to the Miami/Minnesota ones.

If those numbers are even remotely true, why haven't the Cornhuskers put together a program yet? There's obviously a strong hockey fan base in town who are already in love with Nebraska the way it is.

What do I mean? I mean we pretty much completely agree. You just put it more bluntly.

I'm no expert on the Wild, but adding two players (even the caliber of Parise and Suter) is only going to do so much. To me it seems as if there's a bit lack of depth on the team, which won't get you too far. If they build off of this season going forward, they could be a force. Expecting big things this year, with or without a training camp, was asking a little too much in my opinion.

Omaha Lancers may be my newest favorite USHL team. They call us the Fighting Sioux on their website.

Didn't want to start a new thread....but... Hugh Thornton of the Illinois Illini added the forbidden chief logo to his helmet for the Senior Bowl. I'm very confused on how I feel about that. I think at first I didn't like it, because I know the NCAA won't do anything to an individual player who is no longer in the NCAA, but on the other hand, I love the support he is showing for their Native American logo that is now gone.

I understand that a coach is upset after a loss, but man, Eaves seems like a total jerkoff to, who I imagine, are his own reporters.

Great, I love that. But why do they need/deserve a nickname? Why can't they just be themselves and kick some tail?

I'm confused, does a nickname mean they are better or something? How does one "deserve" a nickname?

Nicknames just happen...they aren't forced.

The Sabres can't be too thrilled with Drew Stafford's performance so far this year. No goals and just a few assists through 8 games so far.

There's already two of those in the AHL...don't need another in the National. I'm still partial to Totems.

This Totems sweater is another great look, though I wouldn't necessarily approve on that striping or colors to return again...blue/red is very overdone these days and the striping reminds me of the Canadiens too much.
