I came across this link and thought some of you North Dakota natives would be curious to take a peek at. Apparently someone has decided to visit, and photograph, every town in North Dakota. http://www.flickr.com/photos/afiler/collections/72157603994021055/

Duncan did benefit from playing with Oshie and Toews, but who wouldn't? It takes a great player to put up the points he did his sophomore year, even with playing with TJ and Jonny. He still had to put the puck in the net, and did.

I think the Sioux logo has been tasteful for awhile, but going back to the 60s and 70s, I believe that there were more fans open to the cartoonish and distasteful monikers that Stanford fans portrayed with their university. I saw an old link once a couple years ago that had a bunch of signs and t-shirts that Sioux fans had used back in the day and they weren't far off from what you can see in the link.

Ha, no, just Sioux/NoDak jerseys. Those are expensive enough.

New UNO road jersey for this year:

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I thought this one would be appropriate. I'm not sure if the writer is exaggerating the growth in Stanford Indians apparel, but the imagery is still sticking around and still has a strong following. http://nativeappropriations.blogspot.com/2012/10/when-offensive-indian-mascots-hit-too.html

This is starting to make some sense. I really liked a lot of the new production values. The overall quality seems improved and more professional. It was just disappointing to have to view it on such a low quality of video, especially for 2012. It sounds like it may be an FCS problem and not a MidcoSports/UND thing like you said tnt. Hammer and Koberinski sure had their struggles, but as the game went on I think they improved in general. They have to shake off the rust like the team does, and I expect them to grow into their roles as they get more familiar with the new team and their new jobs. All-in-all I see improvements.

I didn't notice any color issues, but it was hard to tell with the very poor resolution. It was literally like an average webcam, and I say average because I've seen some pretty high-quality webcams that are costing less than what it costs to get FCS on DirecTV.

That O'Donnell-Rocco-Gaarder line could be a real surprise. I'm still convinced that O'Donnell is going to be a big time offensive threat at some point during his career.

They spelled Chay wrong, or he changed his name to "Chey" Genoway. I do love how he put the Goofs last though.

It's because it's a Bud product. Miller is much better for you.

I can't believe you actually do like Bud Light Lime.

I loved those guys. They were huge homers, but I expected nothing less. They brought a lot of energy to the game, a lot like what Hennessy does for UND on radio. Then, the fact that they were such big homers meant that when we were pounding them, they had to choke down a few Sioux compliments in front of Gopher nation. I could listen to Woog and Mazzocco forever...honestly.

EDITED: I just read it for myself. Just to clarify what MissSioux85 wrote, having heat pressed names/numbers doesn't mean the names/numbers aren't twill. Twill can be heat pressed, stitched on, or both for added durability. What it sounds like is they are getting pre-cut twill letters and numbers and just heat pressing them on. They are still twill, but don't have the added reinforcement (or look) of what the players have. Also, I'm not sure I trust them when they say the jerseys get customized at the same place as the team. I was told that when I had a couple of the Nike dazzle jerseys customized, only to get them back all wrong from a place in Minnesota that doesn't do the men's jerseys.

http://sioux-jersey.com It's a work in progress, but has been fun.

I haven't had a chance to do some scouting to get some more people to get their collection added. I am making some updates today, though. If anyone has any game-worn Sioux jerseys, I'd love to be able to show it off on the site.
-
I think they are referring to heat pressing the twill names/numbers...which is a standard practice. After getting pressed on, they are then stitched for added reinforcement. It makes it easier to stitch because the twill isn't moving around.

Yes, the replicas are in stock at Sports City in Fargo. I saw the ebay auctions as well and went and checked them out. They're about what you'd expect for a replica. Hoping some authentics will be rolling in, but I heard some news that might put authentics in jeopardy.

Been busy putting some jerseys together for the Encyclopedia portion of Sioux-Jersey.com. These are all the home/away jerseys from 1964-78. First row: 1964-67 Second row: 1967-71 Third row: 1971-74 Fourth row: 1974-78 The 1974-78 version might be the least known Sioux jersey in existence, and may be the ugliest of all time.

Two words: Mark. Osiecki. The Badger program is seeing a big loss with Osiecki's departure to Ohio State. Heck, that's how we are getting Jordan Schmaltz. Mark was a guru with bringing in and developing big-time defensemen.

Why play sports if you don't want to get injured? No one would get hurt playing hockey of no one played hockey. That would solve everything.

O'Donnell will surprise a lot of people this year.

One day I'll wake up and decide to sell 'em all.

I picked up a couple new jerseys in the last few months. The early 90s came a couple months ago and I just got this Zach Jones Frozen Four gamer. The #29 jersey is a game-issue.
