I agree that the loss of rivaly games is bad. I think it would make college hockey LESS interesting, since the big time games are the ones that generate fans. If it takes losing a team or two that no one cares about to keep the interest of the game high, I'm all for it. Just my 2 pennies.

I'm coming home from X-mas break early to go to the UNH series...even though my mom disagrees with that idea. Last I heard, no game has been sold out for students.

Lapoint is big height-wise, but stands to gain a lot in terms of muscle. He's one of those tall-lanky kids right now with a great skill set. I can kind of see him being pushed around a bit until he gets the hang of WCHA hockey.

Well, looks as if I'm going (80%). I can get $120 roundtrip tickets out of Grand Forks. Can't beat that. I just need a single game ticket for each night. Anyone know the best place to get one? Ebay has them in a minimum or two tickets per auction. I don't need the other. Are they still available through the schools? Just wondering if anyone else will be there so we could carpool and whatnot. I'm staying at a friends house but don't want to ask for a million rides. Let me know!

No, they are not called suckers. And that's an unrealistic comparison. Food is one thing, supporting your pro football team is another. It's called loyalty. Some people understand it, some people don't. Even if you DO want to compare to a restaurant serving bad food, there ARE people who are loyal enough to go back time and time again when there are better options. You're the sucker for actually believing that someone would be a 'sucker' for being supportive for many years.

It doesn't matter, the best fans sell out games no matter what the situation is. Packers have had a a sellout streak since the 1960s, and they didn't have a Super Bowl appearance for 29 years at one point.

I'm pretty sure the radio stations were the ones to buy up the last ones too. GREAT fans in the cities.

Knowing Hak, he didn't vote for his own team/players. If you go by that, that'd be likely one more first place vote and Okposo wouldn't have gotten the one player vote. I like being the underdog.
