They played one season in a league that no one cares about. I think just plain old Northern Pike would be cool...Fighting as an adjective for pike doesn't ring very well.

5 weeks ago the Vikings started their powerhouse winning ways over San Diego. They've gone 4-1 in this span with only one road bump. That road bump was more like hitting a wall at 65 mph...that was the Green Bay Packers who thumped them 34-0. What does this mean? Vikes are better than they were before, and playing very well, but they still are very very very far from being a great NFC team. They haven't beaten anyone of significance except average to below-average teams....big whoop.

You can KINDA count our WCHA home playoff series as a sweep since we beat them Friday and Saturday to sweep them.

How bout something related to trains. Those are definitely previlent in Grand Forks and the area. Purdue Boilermakers have a pretty sweet name/logo with their school....maybe we could come up with something unique and interesting from the realm of trains. Also, with using the name Jets, we could just make it "Fighter Jets." I think it would be a good fit for our school, plus be unique to most of the NCAA.

At least Minnesota's backup didn't.....aah nevermind.

I find it so much harder to watch and critique when watching on tv, so I'll make this comment. I thought LaPoint and Finley have been two of our best defensive defensemen this year. Chorney has been somewhere in the middle. They didn't stand out in a bad way tonight when watching, but like I said, it's harder to critique when sitting in the living room. We just can't score consistently. We should never get shut out...even on an off night. Split up Duncs and Osh to see what happens.

To expect a goalie of the caliber you mentioned out of AG is unrealistic, especially at his age. Those guys were all unbelievable goalies (except maybe Bachman...he hasn't played long enough). Anthony will only get better by playing on a crappy team.

Judging by how many NA's live in (and destroy) my apartment complex, I can bet they don't care about any free college degree. What a joke...the only Sioux Pride out there is that within the University, not outside of it.
