Is there any chance that he would leave after this year if he thought he was ready but wasn't getting playing time? I would say no, especially because of his size, but stranger things have happened.

A couple of players for Russell Stover were with us when we traveled to Wisconsin. I guess you could say they are recruits. Without looking at the roster I forgot their names (I posted them in the recruits thread)...I think one's last name is Clarke. One kid is huge for his age.

In my opinion, Kaip is almost like the twin of Porter last year. Let's hope that when we come towards the end of the year that Kaip is producing to that extreme level that porter was. These kinds of guys are fun to watch.

The only game where I really saw Jones taking some dumb penalties was in WI. Otherwise, he's been VERY solid, especially the last month and a half.

LaPoint has hardly played like a freshman. The couple times he did get beat he was hung out to dry by whoever he was playing defense with. He's more physical than pussy Marto (who NEVER steps up on a guy) and knows how to take a guy out of a play completely, unlike most of our whole defense. His offense is more there than most of our defenseman also, and doesn't get beat as often in the process.

Everyone annointed him because he was a #3 overall draft pick in the NHL draft. How could you NOT annoint him? I agree on the stick swinging, not the best idea in the world, but hell, he did get rocked allll weekend, haha.

I went to the MTU series on the bus. Lots of fun (when I could stay awake, haha). Not sure if the expenses allow for a Mankato trip.

How is Turris a baby? I've never seen him to anything to get that kind of label. He isn't as good in the WCHA as everyone initially thought, but that doesn't make him a "baby." I watch as many Wisco games as I can and was at the games in Wisconsin. He f'in rocked him and put him to the ice every chance we did, but he got up like a man every time. I didn't see him whine or anything. He tried to get physical back once or twice, with little success, but what player wouldn't after repeatedly being decked. This doesn't really constitute being called a baby.

I'd leave too after seeing how many people showed up to our last playoff game. Wow that was horrible. AWESOME fans in Grand Forks.

Watkins or Kozek. Watkins just flies around the ice, makes smart plays, and plays great defense. Great three-zone player than can score at times too. Kozek has had a scoring barrage compared to the past. Genoway has been great also and even though I didn't like he was playing early in the year, Martens has played better the last few weeks. Kaip is also very noticeable. Chorney and Miller have taken the most steps backwards.

Grieco was always known for his lack of work ethic too, which didn't go over with the team, and especially the coaches, so well.

Thankfully it's a short article He said the group's aim isn't to get into fights with people, but to educate them on the issue. "They're ignorant," he said.

Is that a hint of indirect negativity? "there's too much negativity on the boards" Sioux split, same way as always.

Since the Vikings didn't play today, I take it they are playing tomorrow?

Who's to say that there is TOO much negativity. Maybe the negativity is deserved? I think people are being more positive than they could be.

Didn't get to watch any of the game, so I can't say much about tonight specifically. But, we should be scoring WAY more goals. We were scoring a lot better early in the year, but we rarely score 4, and 5 seems impossible right now. The fact that our defense isn't playing like it should really doesn't help the cause in any way. The GFers here need to take their Marto-tinted glasses off. Defensively he adds nothing to the team. They should move him to forward. Same with Chorney. He's been playing WAY too offensively this year and then gets burned on the transition after he coughs it up. Maybe if they want to play forward they should actually play forward.

Just saw that....scary. Let's hope it isn't anything serious.

The problem with the ice wasn't temperature. It's the fact that a football field is crowned (not flat). They used plywood to flatten it as good as possible, but isn't a perfect solution. That's why there were problems.
