Out of USCHO's top 20 rankings, we only have 6 games all regular season that aren't against one of those top 20 teams. (Bemidji twice, Alaska twice, Mankato twice).

I know, you gotta love it! Guaranteed non-success in the upcoming seasons. I hope you're getting used to Tarvaris as well, hehe.

I thought Finley has been great defensively so far this year. He never was meant to handle the puck so you can't blame him for that.
-
Almost everyone I saw that was wearing the wrong color had a jersey. Suck it up and wear something else. A jersey doesn't make you a better fan, but getting into the game by wearing the crowd color that night does.

Some of them need it.

On the apparent offsides play, who was the line judge on the play, Freeman or Ulwelling?

Hey Goon, you haven't done a whole lot of laughing this year then I take it... GO PACK GO!

I think that the team is making the same mistakes as we were last year in the beginning. Our passing, and pass receiving is less than par. Last year it was the same way. In the second half, each pass seemed to hit everyone's stick in stride AND they kept control of it. Also, each player holds the puck too long allowing the team to adjust. They need more shorter, quicker passes to help move the puck and keep the defense off guard. It seems as if everyone is trying to make a play by themselves. The one difference is our defense. Last year we seemed to let a lot of easy goals in while this year we have had strong goaltending with pretty good defense most of the time. Not sure if this is scary knowing that we've had a lot of great goaltending in games we lost going into the second half. We need to step it up for the nights when Lammy is on. The Friday night DU game is the most recent in which he should have gotten a victory out of. We should rarely score less than 3 goals a game...that's one goal a period.

It's funny how when we win everyone is all happy and is buying their frozen four tix. Then we lose again and everyone argues about everything.
-
Exactly! If you properly supervise them at the game and use it as a teach tool, you can benefit in two ways: getting to enjoy a college hockey game AND teaching your children life lessons which they'll throw out the window when they hit their teen years anyways.

I look at it like this. The whole point of having a PA announcer is part of the entertainment of going to a hockey game. People go to the game for entertainment. The PA announcer is solely there for the people. So, if the PA guy says something about Holy Cross, it's just a clean way to entertain the fans. Right?

He's like a 6'2" giant, angry leprechaun that might eat someone....

I haven't read ALL the posts regarding poor behavior at REA, but I'll post my take. I agree with both sides for starters. Students are students. No matter where you go, what the sport is, etc. etc., a rowdy student crowd will always be that way. UND student crowds at hockey games have been this way for years...actually worse before the new REA. It should be no surprise as to what goes on at the game, so those with young ones should take that into account before possibly subjecting their kids to what goes on. People outside of the student section should not be lumped in with them just because they are of similar ages. Those people are stupid and ignorant. You should be respectful in relation to those around you. If everyone around you is rowdy and crazy, fine, be rowdy and crazy. To think you have the right to do anything b/c you paid for a ticket is b-s&!t. I never agree with throwing things on the ice b/c of bad calls and whatnot. That's one thing I never agree with. Throwing things never does anything but make you look like an idiot. However...exceptions can be made in hockey if you throw things like dead animals, because that's part of the game and part of the fun, it isn't something that happens due to a poor call. Kids do see things all over the place, and especially in school that are much more negative than you'd see/hear at a hockey game. In school, there's always a kid that's like "my big brother told me this" and it's something new everyday, and it's never something good. I also went to private school and it's no different than anywhere else. Point is, you can't blame the students for being students. A college hockey crowd is not church, so remember that before you show up...stupid/vulgar fans aren't something new, they've been around forever in sports. Use these as a tool to maybe teach your kids how NOT to act and do it by setting a good example. Kids look up to their parents, so if they see them kicking someone out, is THAT any better than having them see someone throwing something on the ice? (even though I hate things thrown on the ice out of anger)

Some guy just making a bunch of really cheap/horrible replicas. Sorry you wasted your $11.
-
Yep, but Puffy will be.
-
I highly doubt the owner would get rid of it...unless you traded and made his little boy a similar replica to the Zajac...too cute! haha
-
Both of the K1 replicas are closer to the actual Sioux jerseys than the Nike replicas. You only live once, get an authentic!

Walleyes isn't too bad of a nickname Kinda like Hawkeyes or Buckeyes (buckeye is a tree by the way).

It was incredible to watch him as long as we did. You can tell how sorely he's being missed this year.
-
Well, I heard that Coke was donating pom poms during the Friday night game...a green AND white pom pom...meaning it prolly won't matter much what everyone wears.
-
I'm not going to argue whether or not the AFL is successful or not, but it doesn't change the fact that the team was a one year wonder.
-
They played one season in a league that no one cares about. I think just plain old Northern Pike would be cool...Fighting as an adjective for pike doesn't ring very well.
-
5 weeks ago the Vikings started their powerhouse winning ways over San Diego. They've gone 4-1 in this span with only one road bump. That road bump was more like hitting a wall at 65 mph...that was the Green Bay Packers who thumped them 34-0. What does this mean? Vikes are better than they were before, and playing very well, but they still are very very very far from being a great NFC team. They haven't beaten anyone of significance except average to below-average teams....big whoop.

Coaches don't like to leak a lot of info, so what he said might not mean much.

You can KINDA count our WCHA home playoff series as a sweep since we beat them Friday and Saturday to sweep them.
