I am a big basketball fan but being realistic it is highly highly unlikely we are going to keep it close. This is not a put down but we just don't have the inside game even if we were healthy to keep it anywhere near close. We have parts of the puzzle but we have some big pieces missing.

UND's total television package is light years ahead of NDSU. We have a coaches show on television through the basketball seasons. NDSU's television show ends with football and is only football when it is on. We also have an additional UND Sports show on television. Like I said we are way ahead of NDSU when it comes to television. When we get in the Big Sky next year we are even going to be farther ahead. Big Sky has a nice television package.

I heard Nebraska is in talks with Bohl. Wait a second. He already got fired from there.

I don't think Ruleys reputation was tarnished when she left. It was getting a little rusty though and women's basketball supporters were more than anxious for her to move on. That could be where we are heading here too. Not yet though. Actually in Fargo now, women's basketball supporters are hoping DeHoff would move on sooner than later.

Did SDSU have a year to two where they only had 3 or 4 home games? I might be wrong on that.

I agree. For Moorhead to be in the picture he must want to live in Fargo.

I know we have passed them in Volleyball but even though our women's basketball had a dip, I don;t think we were ever behind NDSU in women's basketball lately. The NDSU women's baskeball has been floundering for years.

Actually they had quite a conversation about UND on their poll topic this week. Basically they were making fun of UND. They were talking about UND to the point where a Bison backer said enough talk about UND. All the converstions were indirectly related to the fact that UND was ranked and shouldn't be because of the quality of the teams they had beat. Every week they have a lenghty conversatiion about UND when it comes to the polls.

I wouldn't be surprised if NDSU doesn't try again to get in the Big Sky.

Johnboy is sure concerned about UND. Did anybody ask for his advice?

There is no doubt about which school is the premier institution in the area. It would be the school that fans, media, administrators. and coaches from other schools all talk about. Of course that school would be UND.

So do the Bison fans tell the whole story or just the parts that might make UND look bad? Do they tell the whole story on how the Sioux are ranked the second week too? Do they admit then that the voters didn't get the schools mixed up afterall and how silly Kolpack and the media in Fargo look now? I am guessing they didn't tell the rest of the story. By the way why are NDSU fans on the Rabbit message board talking about UND anyway. I thought they were over UND.

This is exactly what UND fans were wondering. Kolpack and other media to the south of UND were the ones that kept bringing UND into it. We made the poll because people voted for us and not because they mixed us up with NDSU. The fact that we were still ranked the second week proved that.

I would love to beat SUU this weekend. That is going to be tough to do though. They are a very good team right now and we don't match up good with them. If we did lose and played them close doesn't mean our season is going to be a failure. Frankly it is what we do overall for the rest of the season that is going to tell the tale moreso. But is sure would be nice to knock them off. Everyone has to remember we are setting the table for next year and we won't truly be able to assess our progress till the end of the year.

I to am very thrilled that it appears Mollberg is coming to UND. I am not going to get real excited until I hear that he officially has committed to UND. Am I wrong or is it just unofficial that he is committing to UND at this point?

I would be very surprised if he is coming to UND but delighted if he is. Considering he is probably going to announce this week and the Bison just happen to be playing the Gophers I am guessing he might be signing with NDSU. The timing just looks like he might not be signing here.

My mistake. If Kolpack actually pursues the matter and starts contacting coaches to see if they voted for UND by mistake and meant to vote for NDSU it would be very funny. Fargo media and NDSU would come off looking like a bunch of doorknobs. I think they shouild pursue it.

I am not defending anything about UND but I think as the year goes on it will become quite evident that Drake was better than Lafayette ( and maybe a lot better). It doesn't really matter anyway but it is still too early to assess the strength of either team yet. Neither team has played the part of their schedule that will really tell how good either team is.

Didn't we have a nice 2nd half against Northern Illinois last year? I could be wrong on that one.

I look for this game to be very competitive. After watching our team last year with the erratic quarterback play at best, so until they show me something different I will remain cautiously optimistic. I will have a much better idea around 10:00 tomorrow night.

Seriously!!!! You do have to wonder if this guy is alright . He just might need to get some medical attention. Sooner than later. It is not even funny anymore.

President Kelly is the only one with some common sense. He knows it is time for the University to move on. The nickname issue is killing UND. He also knows that waiting for the NCAA to change their mind is ridiculous. The NCAA just got done telling us again that they are not going too change their position. The potential meeetings with the NCAA will be a joke. Stand tall President Kelly.
