Are they doing the Wednesday sport chat this week?

It is always good to see the Big Sky take the MVFC down.

Every year when enrollment numbers are released there is a lot of conversation both here and at BV. This year there has been considerable conversation here but almost nothing at BV. Interesting.

Not everyone is touchy. Apparently NDSU is a little touchy by the statements made. UND is thrilled.

It was fun reading the announcement by NDSU. It won't be long till NDSU will have enrollments announcements like. NDSU has the most agricultural students enrolled in the state or NDSU has the most enrolled students who live in apartments or . NDSU has the most students enrolled from certain coiunties in the state. NDSU just has a need to be ranked #1. UND just can't be ahead of them.

Another good enrollment indication for UND is that UND had over 3000 Freshman and NDSU had 2400. Good to see that UND is the largest and it starts with the first year enrollments. Great job by UND.

Along the way UND wanted to play NDSU every year. When NDSU was taking heat for not playing the game Gene Taylor said let's play every other year. UND stood firm and said they still wanted to play every year. Gene thought his statement would take some heat off NDSU admininistration. He also knew at that point UND was also holding their position on playing every year and probably wouldn't accept the offer. As it turns out Taylor never intended to play UND every other year or any year at all. It was a phony statement. UND called NDSU's bluff to play every other year and guess what. NDSU still won't play. NDSU is afraid they would lose the game. They would not like their ego to be bruiised after all the years of spouting off about how much better they are than UND.. I am convinced UND would win the game. Especially if the game was played in Fargo. UND owns the Fargodome.

Posted this on wrong topic earlier. I think the only way they would pull his redshirt is if they seriously think that we have a real chance at making the playoffs and doing something in the playoffs. To think that, they would have total confidence that Hanson will get the job done at quarterback. Everyone has to remember that both the new quarterbacks will be first year players next year.

How good is Hobaugh supposed to be? I imagine he can't play this year.

The game has no more importance to one school or the other anymore. UND is playoff elgible and is in a tremendous conference. There is just a lot of hot air and baloney coming from Fargo.

Does that mean we have scholarship available?

Frankly I could care less about the Summit combination. The Big Sky is really looking exciting. The future is very bright. The Big Sky sure looks like the place to be.

I saw where the school to the south got their ist commitment. It was a kid from South Dakota. He picked Fargo over Duluth. Hopefully we will get some soon. It doesn't seem like we ever get kids this early.

I would guess Muss is probably doing some negotiating. Probably promising to come up with some money as quickly as it can be worked out.

It sure sounds like Idaho is seriously considering the Big Sky. That would be a nice addition to the Big Sky. I have a feeling that the fact that UND is the only Dakota school in the Big Sky is going to be a real positive. It will make us unique for the immediate area. The whole Big Sky situation is really sounding exciting.l I am really pumped that our conference for the future is the Big Sky.

If they panned out they would see Bison Dan standing there.

Do they have tailgating at the Ag School games?

I think Volleyball is the real sleeper sport at UND. It seems to be a sport that is really on the rise. It has real potential for attendance growth. Hopefully UND continues to get better.

Doesd anyone know if UND is having a formal press conference to announce our joining the Big Sky?

Couldn't help but notice the Gate City Bank is quite prominent in Fargodome in the center of the field on both sides. I guess that is just the way it is now days with naming rights.

Is that true that Cable One in Fargo offered the UND games that were on Midco last year to their customers? The only complaint I have heard about our Sports Network is that it is not available in Fargo. If it is offered in Fargo, then our sports television package is really tremendous.

Excellent post. You hit it right on the button. I see Bison fans are continuing to right in how mad they were UND was ranked. It really doesn't matter. This year is what matters.

The main point to all of this is.... Why do Bison fans care if UND is ranked anyway? It has nothing to do with NDSU and the conference they are in. Why does it bother them so much anyway, when they constantly say they have moved on from UND and could care less about UND. Somebody cares about UND a lot more than they admit.

Kolpack was back on the airwaves yesterday whining about how UND got votes in that poll last year when they should of gone to NDSU. Hard to believe he has such a hatred for UND. He is very very thin skinned. It is time for the Fargo media to move on about that topic.
