  1. The Sioux knock of Temple today in 4 sets. This team is really performing well.
  2. Northern Illinois-42 UND 7 I don't think the Sioux have enough on either side of the ball.
  3. I agree. We have been a D1 University for a long long time. We have lots of huge wins as a D1 University. A few more would be nice.
  4. That was Really well said. We have to try be as good as we can be right now to keep growing our recruiting. Players want to go to go where they can be successful as a team.
  5. Why was Jake Millers redshirt pulled. Is it because of running back depth, receiver depth, or kickoffs.. Where do they intend to play him? The only position I had heard where we were a little thin was receiver. Did he catch the ball much in High School?
  6. I would imagine there are 2 to 3 times as many people that pass through the gates for hockey in a typical year than pass through the gates for Bison football in a typical year in Fargo. I also think the average price for a Sioux hockey game is a lot higher than for a football game in Fargo. The 2 sports probably don't compare at all.
  7. When you say it is on Altitude, is that a channel cable subscribers in GF can get?
  8. Yea the Rabbit game would be fun to have on television. There are some other games that I hope would be on too. Cal Poly, Northern Illinois, and Idaho would be very fun to get on television too. If we were able to get those games on television it would bring the total to 9 games on television this year.
  9. If UND ,USD, Davis, and Cal Poly were to join on to the Big Sky it would be great. The football situation would be tremendous. I would much prefer that over the Missouri Valley if that situation were ever to occur.
  10. Does anyone know how we landed these gals? What is the connection? I would assume the ladies wanted to go a school that was able to take both of them. Does anyone know how good these gals are? Is this a major recruiting situation or not.
  11. MPLSBISON must of forgot to take those blinders off. He is definitely the politician type. He just can't look at anything honestly. In his eyes there are always 2 sides to an issue. His side and the other side. And the other side is ALWAYS wrong. The facts could be stamped on the middle of his forhead and he still couldn't see the truth.
  12. Take the blinders off MPLSBISON, You are starting to look and sound silly now.
  13. When a person reads all the stories out there about Chapman's obsession with increasing enrollments and seeing that athletics had a successful D1 transition it makes a person wonder. He was willing to sacrifice the financial future of NDSU to make himself look like a a real hero and a financial genius . When the dust finally settles on the Chapman debacle, will the apparent success of NDSU's transition be that at all. Did NDSU do it the right way after all? The King definitely fell off his throne. It is too bad he isn't being held accountable. Other people are taking the hit for his leadership. It sure would be fun if he would return to North Dakota and answer some serious questions. That will never happen. He is to busy counting his money where ever he is. I think they have stopped construction on his statue in Fargo.
  14. So Chapman had automated window blinds. That is certainly normal. No excesses there. The next thing you know Chapman would have wanted remote garage door openers in his car.
  15. Considering we have WDAY with it's radio signal which is more powerful at night than KFGO and that is a good deal. WDAY gives us the obvious newspaper connection around the state. The television connection could be big too. That provides the opportunity to hit even more viewers than FSSN does. Now with KFYR on board and this gives us a better media package than we had before. All these announcements are really great news.
  16. After reading the press release from the Herald. One word comes to mind when I think of Kfgo. Tacky, Tacky, Tacky.
  17. They don't give us a free pass when we have someone in trouble. I suppose we shouldn't stoop to their level though. You have to admit they have had more than their share of athletes in trouble this last year or so.
  18. I apparently missed the football story. What is the scoop on the Bison football players?
  19. There could very well be another Gonzaga out there. When you look at the way the Bison continues to improve this year I am sure they are on the brink of being the next Gonzaga. There are probably a lot of schools in the United States that want to be the next Gonzaga. NDSU more than likely will be the next Gonzaga. The excitement is growing in Fargo. Getting to the tournament out of the Summit is a lot different than actually winning some games in the tournament.
  20. mplsbison you are right. At some point they might win a game. Being realistic a win might come one every generation. And then after that win they will exit the tournament. Unfortunately it is just the way it is. 20 or 30 years between wins is a long time.
  21. The basketball tourney is huge. I think what most people are saying is that unless you do something in the tournament 99.99999 % of people across the country don't remember you after your game is over. The reality is that NDSU or UND most likely will never win a game . Therefore the people here in the Valley will remember the game but nobody outside our immediate area will ever remember it. Northern Iowa won today and they didn't even show half the game on TV here.
  22. I believe we have 1 or 2 recruits down the road from Minnesota. Are anyof them playing in the state tournament?
  23. It makes no sense. I'm assuming your joking. They have been doing it for decades.
  24. Apparently some people are speculating that next year the game would be in Fargo and the year after it would be at both locations. Would somebody give me a good reason why we wouldn't play a game at both cities next year? It would be easy to schedule and very profitable for both schools.
  25. I would hope there would be a game in both cities. There would be no reason for there not to be. If NDSU said they couldn't work in a road game to Grand Forks that would be really weak. We both play a lot of non conference games and a lot of home games with no one in attendance. I would assume we would playing in both towns. It is truly good gates being missed by both schools. We can both use the money. Faison better stand strong on this issue.
