i like the comment about the last one to leave gf, turn the lights out pretty good for hak. it's fun to see how well we travel and how much support we give our team.

talking alot about the work ethic and preparedness of this team. talked about jpl and a hot goalie being the difference maker. hak said jpl has been great, and will continue to need him to be great. they brought up parise not being his best in the frozen four?? hak said, yeah, he may not have had his best game in milwakee and we had some bad bounces, but he was the biggest reason they were there. handled that poor question well. he said you can't worry about the other team too much this time of year. prepare for the other team the best you can, but play your own game. said und and bc are both completely different teams than when they met early in the year, the team has had great practices and is ready!! lets go sioux!!!!

as much as i think elliot olshansky is an east coast tool... he made one legit point in his recent hobey blog on uscho.com. he said it's porter's hobey this year, so who really cares who finished third and who finished fourth in the voting? gerbe is in because there is no way the hattrick wouldn't have an east coast player, and he is a hell of a hockey player. jones deserves to be there as much as the other two, and as much as jpl, but it was three guys vying for the last two spots, so who really gives a rats ass who the two are who get to shake porter's hand when he wins it? again, hate to give props to olshansky, but as he stated... "I'm sure Lamoureux would rather do that in the handshake line after the national championship game." i agree with that majority here, let's not boo or show poor sportsmanship. hey, the way i see it, now we've got the full day friday to do our own thing. great day for the brewery tour. the airline charter package includes the flight, tickets, hotel and ground transportation (aka the hotel shuttle ). since they already took our money, i sure hope they honor what we payed for. i am pretty sure all charter people have tickets.

first half of the mlb season is too slow for me, thank goodness the nhl playoffs will be going on for months after the college season is over then it's lake and golf season. i am ready for some sunshine (and no smarta$$ comments from those of you in arizona, hawaii or other tropical climates)

i would respond with "touche" except hak is a class act, and eaves is a punk the infamous bird did not help his image outside of und, but he is one of the best in the business, and his teams and players reflect that. ask any unbiased college hockey expert in the know (if there is such a thing) and ask him who his head coach would be if he were starting a program... hak would be on that very short list, eaves would not. of couse this is coming from a very biased sioux fan

im sure it has been mentioned, but how can i check the status of this bracket challenge. i would be very surprised if i was in the top half... two good regionals, and two disasters, which is probably very common this year. thanks in advance.

i'm starting a pact that i promise to stay in north dakota along with tj, dunc, chorney, finley and all the others next year (heck i'll even stay longer) st. louis is an armpit, noone wants to go there, edmonton is even colder than grand forks (could be true?), and there's nothing but a bunch of crooked polititians in washington who don't appreciate hockey lets focus on these last two games we will see these great hockey players and men in their fighting sioux uniforms!

i think the worst thing about the ebay, etc. situation is that the tickets ARE being purchased for way over their face value, and not even very good seats. kudos to those who are getting what they asked, but that means you will have a tough time finding tickets at fair value before you get to denver. best bet would be to try the CC or DU message boards (do they have ones similar to ss.com?) but otherwise, like stated before, you may have to buy from scalpers in front of the pepsi center before the game?

im pretty sure he was offered rookie max (or should have been) before the season, so this would change nothing. with the new cba, there is not much teams can get creative with, other than possible incentives i believe. and if you think he would leave before the frozen four, after coming back this year, you are either a hopeful (jealous) goofer fan or really naive. i'm sure you were just passing info along, i just find it funny they are talking about it, as i do not think it is newsworthy.

i was under the belief that we did not have a mascot?? logo yes, but i have never seen a sioux mascot at a sporting event or elsewhere for that matter? i could be mistaken, wouldn't be the first time, but adds to the stupidity of the chant if i am correct.

it was a great game. you guys outplayed us for two periods. turris made one great pass, and the end board put one past jpl but this team wouldn't be denied. tough break on turris, im sure you guys were hoping for one more year, but you've got a solid team that will compete next year. your coach is a punk, but it is nice to see fans who appreciate good wcha hockey. see you next season! on a side note, they didn't give any breaks to the students? maybe that is standard for a regional, but it was dissapointing to not see the kohl sold out. i would have rather seen 1-2000 more badger students than empty seats. the ralph needs to get another regional, that was awesome!

both were great, and i watched both from my living room on the edge of my seat. i will have to give the edge to kozek, because now i am going to denver to watch the sioux win #8
