  1. I agree, I don't think the Pac 12 is going away. The Pac - 12 has a seat at the P5 Table. They have reasonable group of schools to select from. It just depends on how big OSU and WSU want to go. Do you stay Western/Southwestern US or go national. You have: 1) MW - SDSU, UNLV, Colorado St, Boise, Hawaii - maybe Freno 2) American - Rice, SMU, Tulane, Memphis, USF, Temple, UT-SA 3) Make a play for all Military Schools (Army, Navy AFA) All are options, it's a major rebuilding project. But it is the NIL era, and a local business or booster can make a big difference in a hurry.
  2. Well, I was close. It's looks like this guy is Jake not Lakes from State Farm
  3. Well, now things get interesting across the board - I think your 4 (CU, UU, ASU, UA) - 2 (UO, UW) could be in play at this point. Still don't know what Stanford and UC-Berkeley are going to do.
  4. In the ATC world, they run things with one-on-one trainers and evaluators. You need a minimum of X number of days/months in a position. You are observed by a trainer the entire time 1 on 1. And once the trainer feels you are ready. You are then observed in position with an evaluator. After the evaluation period, you are either certified or placed back in training. Basically, you get one more shot. You fail more than once or take too long in position. You are shown the door. I wonder if something similar could be in done in pilot training with simulators prior to having actual seat time. And Sicatoka, I had the same observation with his lead paragraph. If I remember correctly, I believe icing had a major role in the accident he was talking about.
  5. Does anyone trust congress or the current administration to get anything right at this point? The really sad point is that the static bureaucracy seems even worse. The FAA appears to be too obsessed with changes such as the meaning of NOTAM (Notice to Airman to Notice to Air Missions) than updating outdated hardware/systems/software. I am pessimistic that anything productive and/or safe will be done.
  6. My thought is that Tommy needs to improve his accuracy over 30 yards. The WRs are open. He just misses them.
  7. Yes, talking heads speculating Ariz/ASU/UU/CU to Big XII which I can see. And UW/Ducks/Cal/Stanford to the Big 10. In my opinion, does Cal/Stanford really care that much about sports and go with an Ivy League type of move. And then there two - WSU/OSU - what happens next?
  8. Well, that just it.. G5 could be looking for 10/12 schools in short order. According to the linked interview - MWC would be looking at NAU and Sac St along with other Texas schools. The American would be looking for schools also. It could get interesting in a hurry come next summer around mid June and July.
  9. I think the big question is what do the remaining 2 do? The best asset that they have is that they are the P-12 and have all the assets and payments for various conference payouts in the near future. Of course, the TV deal will drop. But, they still have access to Football Playoffs. Based on this, I think the Pac10 goes full Big XII and guts the MWC and AAC and goes across all four time zones. They simply add the best 10 or 12 schools in G5.
  10. I love the Midco coverage, and they do a great job. Maybe someday, midco can get the rights to all UND sports and stream on their platform. It was be so nice.
  11. FSSD

    ASU to NCHC

    I would say Detroit also.
  12. As I understand the Bill in Minnesota it simply covers tuition and fees after other grants and scholarships have been counted toward the students bill. They have budgeted roughly $117 million to set up the program and estimates it will cost nearly $50 million a year after that. But, there is no guarantee after the two year window, the current legislature passed through numerous programs that will require a 20% increase in tax revenue in two years to cover all future programs. My guess is that in two years many things will be cut. But, my point is that the cost difference between attending North Dakota schools versus attending Minnesota schools is not going to be great. Because the largest discounts would be coming from Federal Programs which would apply to both schools. In addition, this program is only applied to Tuition. The other silver lining is in the long run. It's Minnesota, the Higher Education Public Service Union Complex will figure out a way to screw it all up and make things 10x worse in the long run. That is what happens when you throw money at things in Minnesota. I also wonder how much of this is North Dakota schools playing politics. FULL DISCLOSURE: Minnesota Tax Payer.
  13. Well that was embarrassing
  14. It is not, per Department of Education Numbers EF Male Count: 4590 approximately 51% EF Female Count: 4397 approximately 49% EF Total Count: 8987
  15. You also need to remember that the SDs have mortgages on those new facilities to be paid.
  16. I think the difference you are talking about is around $5 million. But, you need to consider the differences in programs supports by the department. NDSU has taken a very strategic approach to moving into FCS much like the Montana schools. But, moving up to FBS and MW could change some of those approaches. NOTE: Source USA Today Database.
  17. I agree on the scholarships.. but I thought that NDSU fully funded all sports. And if moving to FBS is going to require an additional 22 for football. Would NDSU need to add a sport? Which could mean an additional 22 or so for a women's sports to get to the $6 number. And at what point are the FBS schools who are making up their own rules going to drop the two approaches to title IX. And go with equal opportunity. The day that comes you would see a sizable shift in resources at NDSU. All things to be considered prior to making the move.
  18. Oh, I think Norman is going to be a big loss for UND. Maybe others can fill part of that role. But, pure shooter is missing.
  19. LOL, I thought that I was the only Jethro that did that.. I used Colgate because it was white and matched the wall color. Crest light mint green was too obvious.
  20. Alerus Center with more improvements that will help.
  21. You are assuming that SCSU was ever an educational institution.
  22. Could there be some naming rights for Phase II being discussed as part of this contract.
  23. It looks like the wiki uses a different system for input. I think it comes from - Public NTSE Tables (nacubo.org) Not sure what the reporting differences are.. But, I already feel like I am too deep into the weeds. Tapping out on this one, just wanted to square up the conversation that I appeared to start. Sorry, if I caused turbulence on this topic.
