I am pretty much resigned to the NCAA requiring netting in the near future. We discussed this pretty heavily at POI after that girl died. While sad, you'd think they would be more concerned over things in life that actually have a higher incidence of deaths. Like a few have posted here, it is a hockey game, not a social event. If you want to sit and chat, or do your nails, stay home and leave the seats for the real fans' whose eyes only leave the puck to watch a fight behind the play or some random hot chick! The black netting is great for TV cameras, but IMO it sucks for the fans...didn't like it at the X and never will. Why don't they just hand out hockey helmets to all the fans behind the nets? What happens when a puck comes off a skate/stick and ends up in the stands by the red/blue line(s)? Netting all the way around the arena? WPoS

I think the "curse" would be the "rotation" system you seem to have up there...consistency seems to be lacking...Lord knows we suffered thru Callinan! And the hot/cold Hauser! WPoS

Yah, the article wasn't all that bad IMO. I think you UND-ers just didn't like the Goalie article. From the outside looking in, it DOES kinda look like a curse. All in all, a pretty good recap on the WCHA. As for blowing sunshine, I think airmail would preffer it blowing up "god's" breezers! WPoS

GE is right, may have "jumped" too much. I just get sick of all the slams I hear about T Web. He is a great kid and when people hear why he dropped a few jaws drop and then there is silence. So this "turkey" will try to maintain and even keel over here wilst a guest! I agree that losing him was not a huge thing for the Gophers, we have the depth right now to make most goalies look great. But only time will tell at the end of the season in all reality. Who knows JBSU might actually get to the FF! UMD always has a thing of pulling a few games they shouldn't. IMO, they could easily make top 4 or 3 this year... WPoS

redwing77, turkey? so what would you do if your family had a member that ended up with a real bad disease and you were very close to them and they asked for your support? I think the only "turkey" was the one tossing names around, as GE put it "insensitive". WPoS

ERF! Can you say HIGH SCHOOL? It is bad enuf that college FB has that crap going on. By college it should be noted that it is a TEAM sport and all those stupid stickers are dumb (look at me, I made a good play, look at me!). Besides a few players would end up with so many that their mellon protector would end up looking like a grade school girls notebook! Not a good way to build team raport IMO. WPoS

OK, in all seriousness, how would you rank your incoming freshmen? Best to worst. The reason I ask is I just got into a NCAA hockey fantasy league. I inherited some slappy team that needs help and am curious as to which of the UND squad would be a good addition to my team. Thanks. P.S. Don't tell the dancing moose, he is in the league also. SFIP, you took the words out of my mouth. I'm just giving you guys a little grief. In all honesty I really don't know where we would be. I LOVED having all MN players under Wooger, but I also realize that it is darn near, if not impossible to have ALL the talent stay in-state and win the big game with all MN boys. It is nice to know that MN boys play a large part of almost every school's hockey program, and that the Gophers will always prolly have a mojority of MN players to root for. Beyond that there are always "what if's". WPoS

Step 1. Not gonna happen. POI has nothing to do with my cheering for the light side. Been doing it since I was a freshman, and that was long before POI was even a tickle in someone's brain. 2. Too bad 3 out of the 5 Sue (Sioux) fans would see the light and start cheering for the Gophers... 3. Family and friends 99% converted to Gophers already sorry, just one nephew with a strange allegiance to the Mavs. 4. So the movie would be 5 minutes long? WPoS
