dagies, I have always said Briggs after Web left.... To everyone else, IMO, Briggs has what it takes to BECOME a great goal tender. He likes to cough up some nice rebounds tho. Once he gets that under control he will be a force to be reconned with. I think even The Don has Briggs set up for being more of the full time tender...he has seen more time between the posts than JJ and seems much more solid there, not giving up as many softies... WPoS

I have always stated both here and on POI that Briggs would be our guy after Web left...JJ reminds me of Calinan too much, great save then lets in a softy form the blue line... WPoS

*gasp* I am agreeing w/ ScottM! Trying to compare our goalie situ to yours last year is laughable...when a goalie leaves you with your jock around your ankles, you need a good third goalie, Smenja was nothing ever but a prctice goalie and everyone knows that. So to compare the Gophers looking to have a quality third tender, that will prolly not see the ice (unlike the 3rd or 4th goalie at UND), is completely ludicris. WPoS

I must agree with GE's general comments, I was unable to actually watch the games, so I am at a loss as to what happened, beyond your boys outplayed ours...I look forward to a better showing by the Gophers in Janruary. WPoS

actually yes, I did just learn that! A co-worker went to UND and we were talking about the games and he told me about it and how the Sioux actaully had a pow-wow to officially rename to the Sioux... Still think it is funnier than heck! Didn't know if that was still taught up there or buried in a vault under a lead shield... WPoS

Like I said in a different thread: they are selling RUSH tickets to every game (even "sold out") at Mariucci this year, so scalping is not really needed unless you miss the RUSH tix. WPoS
